Just a little bit of spirited highway driving was all it took for me to feel a huge difference with what I can only assume was massive heat soak. WTB intercooler rite nao.

Its fun to sit in a drive through for like 20 minutes (F YOU STARBUCKS) then watch your IAT, Charge air temp, and coolant temp drop when you get back into the road and moving even 30mph.

I notice this big time. When at the drag strip, I'll let the car sit with the hood up after a run or two. Once I start the car back up I look at the temps and they spike upwards to 130F+. Once I hit the strip and let the air hit it, it will usually drop to around 80-90F.
I too plan to get the intercooler as soon as it's financially wise to do so. But dammit friggin $800 for the setup. Sometimes I think I should have gone for the IC instead of the COBB Catback. Oh well, the IC will come soon enough. Oh and the fact I have the Injen Intake doesn't truly help in terms of heatsoak. It does a damned good job, but knowing what I know, people should go with the COBB or stay with stock for the best performance. (even if it is stupidly a negligible difference)

I don't see temps, but I can definitely feel it on the old butt dyno. CAI and FMIC are high on my to-do list... now someone give me money :D

It's amazing that you can feel a huge difference just with driving. It was 60 degrees last night and I was on the highway, and I could just feel the car getting more sluggish and less responsive on the throttle. It went from jumping at a blip, to rolling on the power with the pedal to the floor. I haven't bought any mods and was originally going right for the FMIC, but now I have to decide if tires are more important. I looked these tires up, and they have horrible ratings and are only 70 dollar tires. I'm leaning toward tires as the car won't need an FMIC if I wreck it during the next rain.

Comming from super charged cars a upgraded heat exchanger/intercooler are a must.
