hey guys,

I ordered a base tuxedo black fiesta st last weekend and get to pick it up tomorrow[:)]. I hope i don't regret not getting the recaros but i couldn't justify the extra 2k.

Is ford done manufacturing st's for the year? There wasn't too much to chose from.

Also what are the changes gonna be for the 2015 year? I haven't been able to find too much info other than they're moving factories?

I've been a long time VW guy but when it came to buying daily the fiesta ticked all the boxes for me. It should serve me well while my 1.8t mk1 rabbit is down[wave].

I plan on keeping it mostly stock other than coilovers, wheels, roof rack, i'd like to get the st all weather mats, and uh maybe an exhaust and intake. haha maybe not too stock...

Anyone have any experience with any of the coilover options?
looks like there's Bc, ksport, st, h&r and megan that i have found so far. Any opinions on what to get? Also is there a difference between fiesta st and regular fiesta coils?

sorry for all the questions.

here's a quck photoshop i did today for some motivation. wheels are 17x8 esm's. I haven't had much luck finding anything in 4x108! I'm pretty sure i'd like to stay with 17s so i can get rid of the wheel gap with out scraping all over.

ps: sorry if any of these questions have been beaten to death.. i'm new the the ford world!

Welcome!

They are taking orders for the '15 model year. From what I was told they are supposed to have power adjustable seats on the '15 but nobody know for sure. No other changes as far as I know.

The standard Fiesta coilovers will fit the ST, but it lowers the car more than the ones designed for the ST. Pretty much all the brands you listed someone on here has owned and hopefully will chime in. 4x108 is really a difficult wheel pattern to find great designs. Sometimes if you look for the wheels under the Ford Focus 2000-2011 model year you might come up with a few more.

Welcome aboard Dave, that's one of the fastest order to date lol.

I have ESM wheels on mine and I think you'll love their quality. 17x8" which I also have will fit fine. A lot of the staff here run the BC coilovers from 2jracing which have gotten excellent reviews.

Nice mods list, I would also suggest adding a tune in there too.[wrenchin]

Welcome. I think you'll love the car. One suggestion to consider re: floor mats. Instead of the regular all-weather floor mats, I recommend the WeatherTech molded floor protectors/mats. They are molded specifically to fit the floor, and they come up a few inches all-around, trapping the grunge, dirt, etc. on them rather than letting it bounce around on the floor. They aren't much more than regular mats, and I love mine. Note: Should you decide to get these, you can simply get the ones that fit the "regular" Fiesta--mine fit perfectly on doing the same. Disclosure: I don't work for WeatherTech or any of their retailers, and I don't get a commission or kickback from 'em. Just love their floor liners in my FiST.

No kidding. It took them 2.5 months to get me my car from Mexico.

There is little demand for the car. Most people buy a Fiesta because it's cheap and they can throw the family in it. We're all a different breed and bought the car for pretty much the same reasons. I'm in my car all the time for sales calls and I ordered it without the Recaro seats because, well, they were uncomfortable. I'm 6'2' and 185 pounds and I was too big for them. These guys are in Houston and you have to find a dealer to order from them but it might help, http://www.wheelpros.com/. When I picked up my Motegi wheels from Discount Tire/Amercia's Tire they had a big Wheel Pros sticker on the box. BTW, you are not allowed to pick the MR119 wheels. I don't want a sister car on the road, kidding of course. What I don't understand is the 4 lug pattern. Since this is a "performance" car put 5 lugs on it. My sister has a 2012 Kia Soul and it has 5 freaking lugs. Welcome to the forums and enjoy your car.

EDIT
I almost forgot about Ford Racing. I originally had the dealership order a set of the 2011-2014 FORD RACING 15-SPOKE FIESTA WHEEL M-1007-FA. But I backed out a week before the car showed up. In hindsight they probably would've looked better on my car.

And for some other options here's what Tire Rack has in Ford Racing wheels for the car.

Welcome Dave!

My first love of cars was a VR6 Corrado SLC and then I had a few Rabbit GTi's. Loved all of them.

As for the Recaros. I think that they are worth every penny... if your a smallish person.

I really like the BC coilovers. I had them on my Sti swapped gc8 subie and loved them. For the price they are hard to beat. Especially for a daily.

And wheel wise... not many options right now. Unless you want to have someone redrill your hubs to 4x100. Or unless you want to spend a bunch on custom built wheels.

By the way I think you'll LOVE your new FiST

I was thinking about the weathertech mats but i like how the ford ones say st on them lol priorities right..

Welcome Dave and a great looking FiST!
the one in the photo isn't mine! i stole the pic off line to do a quick photoshop. mine is tuxedo black as well though.

Welcome! You're going to love it!
I already do for sure. It's the most fun i've had in a car in a while. Actually today me and my buddy in his mkv R did a pull on the thru way today. the little fiesta was dead even with it and even pulled ahead once. i was pretty impressed, my buddy was pretty upset lol

funny you mentioned redrilling my hubs to 4x100 i was just thinking of that. anyone know the hub dia. off hand?

if i don't buy those ESMs i'll likely go the redrill route since i am machinist and it won't cost me anything.

I'm running the st all weather mats as my summer mats as they look cool with the st logo and do a nice job of keeping the carpets clean from wet/dirty shoes etc. I'll be running the weather-techs as my dedicated winter mats :)
