My job typically leaves me in a nice covering of metal shavings and dirt, so I thought I would see if anyone has found a decent seat cover solution that somewhat fit the Recaro's. It doesn't have to be a perfect fit, just something can be relatively easily installed during the week and removed for weekend meets/car shows. Post up pics of what you have, pricing, and where you got them please!

I ended up just getting a seat cover for the bottom made by Komfy Covers from Amazon. The one for the Subaru Impreza fits perfectly.

I looked at these but some of the feedback on these covers isn't great.

I looked again. Yeah maybe they're ok. I remember looking a few months ago and he had a few bad ones. Most people seem happy though. They seem a bit loose or something. might be ok?

I know the look of these were not very well received by the FoST community, but quite honestly I'm a bit less concerned with looks than protection. I have a $10 generic cover that barely covers most of the cloth on my seat, and it's a complete hassle to keep it somewhat in place when I get in or out. I think that the reason it appears so ill-fitting is due to the aggressive bolstering, and hopefully after some sit-time they might look a little more presentable.

And if they don't, oh well. I'm just getting sick of constantly having to clean my seats. I think I'll probably order one. For my requirements/needs of a seat cover it is pretty much topping the price that I'm willing to pay, but if it does what I need then I think I can justify it. If anything else I can give some feedback for others that may consider it in the future.

I like the seat-bottom covers, but unfortunately I absolutely have to have full coverage on my drivers seat. The last thing I need/want is metal getting into the inserts and cutting them up.

Thanks for being the guinea pig. Please take photos when you get them. I might be up for one but I'm on the fence.

Yeah in the pics they look loose but I'm close to pulling the trigger on one as well, I figure it's cheaper to buy a cover than have the seat re-upholstered.

Yeah, curious about that heat shield. I'm sick of using a towel every morning to protect the seats from my drenched gym soaked selfā€¦!

there has got to be some nice looking well made seat covers. the ones posted look tacky and for the price I don't see the point.

Usually there are so long as you have a few hundred $'s you're willing to part with. There's a difference between buying a set of covers for protection and buying a set for looks, and the further you go towards the latter the more you can expect to spend.

The seat shield that I posted a link to is like a floppy sock that slides over your headrest. The piece you sit on needs adjusting once you sit down since it is loose, but does the job great... looks like a black bag over your seat though.

Im guessing I'm too picky cause I bought some seat covers for my fusion at Costco for 14.99 and the fit well with great protection and don't look bad either

This company makes awesome seat covers, I bought a set for the rear seat for my wife's Escape, our two little kids find a way to get the seats dirty even though they are not allowed to eat while in the car.
I called Carhartt customer service # and they said they will be adding new ford vehicles to the line of seat covers... I will update when I see them making the covers.
Carhartt Covercraft SeatSaver

Ford's escape accessories[/URL] page where I got the idea... I know that since there is not a seat cover for the FiST, my post is not very relevant, but it may help for your other vehicle(s).

Cheers!

Most of us have multiple family vehicles aside from our little Fiestas. So your post is VERY relevant. Good looking out!
