(Almost) New Fiesta ST Owner - Currently 2010 Genesis Coupe Owner

Was supposed to pick up my '14 Fiesta ST in Green Envy today, but when I test drove the car it was grinding in 3rd gear...

Service tech is going to be looking at it, sounds like it's the 3rd gear synchros. They'll fix it and hopefully I'll have the car in my possession either late next week or early the following week.

Either way, figured I'd post up here and say hi. My other car is currently a 2010 Hyundai Genesis Coupe 3.8 Track in yellow, and I still love it. However it's out of warranty and I've already gone through 2 transmissions on that car (I swear it's not me, I know how to drive a manual! I guess I just have an affinity for cars with potentially problematic transmissions...), so I figure it's time for a new daily driver.

I'm also an engineer at Ford Racing, so makes sense to buy a Ford, right?

Haha, yeah I know I know.... but I got the Genesis before I started at Ford. Plus, in Engineering, people drive lots of cool cars, and as much as I absolutely do love Ford I can admit that Ford isn't the only car company to make cool cars. Of course, with Ford bringing out some great newer products like the FoST and FiST (and the fact that A plan pricing is nice), there's no reason for me to not buy a Ford now.

Thanks for the kind words guys. I'm confident that the dealership will get it fixed, it's just hard waiting! I want my Fiesta!

And yes, I like fun colors. Especially for a hot hatch!

Hah, sorry I don't know anything about that. I've heard rumors of a Focus RS as well, but nothing substantial. If it is happening, Ford is being pretty tight-lipped about it.

Now that it's been a month since I posted... I finally got my car! Got it last night, absolutely love it so far.

Oh yeah - I grew up in Ann Arbor, my father's a professor at UofM, I went there for undergrad, currently at UM-Dearborn for master's (because Ford pays for most of it), etc.... I pretty much bleed maize and blue.
