Turbo timer?

Ok maybe three question.
Do modern turbo cars need a turbo timer?
If so is installing a turbo timer on anyone's todo list?
Should Cobb consider adding that feature to the tune?

Generally you don't need one if the car is water cooled. Turbo timers are mostly for turbos that are oil only to prevent coking on the bearing/shaft.

I never ran one on either of my Subarus or turbo SE-R.

Of course there may be a reason someone thinks you need it on the ST...

Prevents deformation of turbochargers too from excessive heat and immediate shut off. I usually just cruise/light driving about 3-4 minutes before my destination.

whether its totally necessary or not, i think it wouldnt hurt cobb to install one on the AP. id probably feel better inside knowing im protecting the turbo a little

I agree and would make another good selling feature for Cobb.
