This is a visual test recorded to a YouTube clip.
I have recorded the following information to give you a idea on the performance of the J-Line IC.
Ambient Temp
Charge Temp
Boost Pressure
Compressor Outlet Temp.

I have driven the vehicle about 30 kilometres before I have stared the recording, about half of that in traffic.
The test starts with the vehicle stopped in a breakdown area on the side of a motorway.
Two first to forth gear pulls, WOT.

Wow those compressor temps are pretty hot but the Mishi looks like it barely blipped an eye lid! [rockon]

Love the glove box mount as well lol [cool]

Is that temp probe in Celsius, just to clarify?

Sekred, you inspired me to order the M-J, its on its way with hoses and clamps. I will post datalogs for M-J comparison to stock IC logs posted under Tuning thread when I get it on the siesta.

Did anyone tell you that there's sensors built into the car that read those temperatures?

:)

Compressor outlet temp via the OEM ECU is inferred, not an actual sensor.
I was wondering about the compressor outlet temp and how the AP got a reading cause theres no actual temp sensor.

Yes its reading in Celsius MoFiST.

Indicates how hard the little turbo is working. Temps are in the ball-park zone, see the Airtec test below.

Fast Ford magazine intercooler test - measured in degree's C
ā—¾Standard
ā—¾Run 1 Intake temp turbo into intercooler 140 out of intercooler into engine 85
ā—¾Run 2 Intake temp turbo into intercooler 131 out of intercooler into engine 92
ā—¾Run 3 Intake temp turbo into intercooler 140 out of intercooler into engine 97

ā—¾Airtec
ā—¾Run 1 Intake temp turbo into intercooler 140 out of intercooler into engine 31
ā—¾Run 2 Intake temp turbo into intercooler 150 out of intercooler into engine 38
ā—¾Run 3 Intake temp turbo into intercooler 152 out of intercooler into engine 39

Yes, also 2x2" joiners for the elbows to the OEM hoses or you could weld aluminium elbows directly to the IC in/out and connect directly to the OEM hoses.

As a side note, I found a boost leak that was present during that test. Down about 6psi, though I could hear a noise over the exhaust!.

Two silicone elbows, two short pipe sections, two silicone couplers, and enough clamps.

Or, two hard elbows, two couplers, and enough clamps.

One member bent some aluminum to hang over the bumper beam to bolt it to.

I welded mounts on the beam and flipped it upside down.

Also a very good idea to get some ABS sheet and seal it off really well so all the air, or at least most of it, that comes into the IC grill goes through the IC and not around it.

I can verify now just how well the MM J Line works.

Street, tuning runs, 70+ weather, 5200 ft elevation, Modded stock turbo, IC sealed so nearly all the air has to go through instead of around it.
3rd gear 30MPH to 6800, 4th gear to 5800, shut off early due to traffic, top temp logged was under 80 degrees after many many runs.

Track, MMP, outer loop, fast track layout, 130MPH at the end of the main straight from 3rd to 4th to 5th gear, end of 20-25 minute sessions or going all out, same weather as above, 5,000 altitude, top temp on one run was 114 or so, mostly stayed in the 80+ range except the one long run each lap.

I was making just under 24PSI on the modded turbo, it was detuned a bit for the track as final tuning was not finished yet.
(Current tuned state, final tuning, 91 octane in progress, with added timing, 24.9PSI maintaining 22.50 at 6800RPM:)

I have no doubt it will handle hot track days, not many tracks have a 7/8th mile long straight you have to pull three gears through.

So something like this for the elbows: http://www.ebay.com/itm/2-to-2-Inch-51mm-90-Degree-Silicone-Pipe-Coupler-Hose-intercooler-Black-/200655271124?pt=Motors_Car_Truck_Parts_Accessories&hash=item2eb7fc74d4&vxp=mtr

and something like this for the clamps?
http://www.ebay.com/itm/6PCS-2-inch...pt=Race_Car_Parts&hash=item43bbf9d780&vxp=mtr

Is that it?

I have had aluminum elbows welded on and planned on this one but had not gotten to it yet. I have used silicone elbows on other cars, and aluminum elbows with clamps as I have on my J-Line at the moment.

The J-Line is doing a great job for me but I have a weight issue and need to take more off the front of the car as the rear is so light the car is a bit unstable doing 130 brake dumps at the end of the straight at the track, forcing me to keep filling the fuel tank.

So, considering selling it, with the trim I made to seal it up well, modified stock undertray and 2" turbo outlet pipe, then get the Cobb setup which is a considerable amount of money difference to to save 7 or 8 lbs.......if the Cobb was available right now I would do it but I have to keep what I have to finish the 102 octane tune...once I can get that done, around the weather changes, trip to AZ.....I can sell the Mishimoto setup.

I am also looking at CF hood, pulled the stock oil to water cooler off, changing, trimming all I can to shave weight....
