Ordered my 2015 Fiesta ST last week in Ingot Silver with silver seat inserts, now for the wait. Since I am in Canada, I ordered the base (includes Recaro's), but standard wheels, no sun roof or Nav. Not a sun roof fan, they are better in theory than in practice. Just unwanted weight in my view.
I wanted to go with a light colour as I find almost all new vehicles these days have soft paint and even with very carefull hand washing, hard to prevent swirl marks that show more on the darker colours. Also, silver does not seem to attract police attention as much as red, orange green etc.
Short term plans when I get the car is the full 3M clear bra treatment since I live in the snow zone with 7 to 8 months of sand and gravel on the roads. I am looking into the Mountune air box and tune installed through Ford as at least for the short term I don't want to void my warranty. Might look at a few other upgrades, but plan is to keep car reasonably close to stock. I already have the Husky waether beater mats sitting in my garage!
On other vehicles I have had, I have suffered 'modification remorse' as some expensive upgrades did not work out as planned or killed the day to day drivability and reliability. I want to be able to drive this car anywhere and not worry that a mod is going to leave me stranded.
I am probably older than most on the forum at 54, but I have always enjoyed smaller good handling cars. Could have spent way more money on a new car, but the Fiesta was way more fun than other cars double the price.
I am also into bikes, sold my modded Kawasaki ZX-14. Would be nice to have car accelerate to 100 mph like this bike (under 5 seconds) and do low 9's like this bike in the 1/4. Now ride a slightly modded Suzuki Bandit 1250, 54 year ols back could not handle racer crouch anymore!
