The car sits lower than it looks, the short tires make the wheel gaps look bigger than they are, I am going to lower the rear a tad bit more. 225/45/15 tires did not rub.

They stick out a bit less than it looks, I am exploring ideas to divert the air around them, probably just flat sheet material in front of them but not all the way out, it only has to go out just enough to push the air out so it does not hit the spinning tires.

On the front I may widen the splitter and to some sort of dive plane if I can come up with a simple and not to standout looking solution.

The front wheels were very close to the struts but I thought would clear but with those sticky tires I rubbed them a little so tossed on some 5mm spacers I had on hand as already have ARP studs on all 4 corners but then it was not hubcentric but did not seem to matter, no added vibration and it handled a bit better with the wider track.

I had some 1mm ones I made at home and going to make another pair a bit thicker so I can maintain hub centric and just clear the struts, bringing the tires back under the car a bit a the same time.

---------------

I am considering 15x8 street wheels, my wife loves the look of the race wheels but the come in +25 and would not be a great offset for the geometry. I am looking at other wheels but might now find a 15x8 or 15x7 that will work. The widest good 3 season tire I can get is a 205/55/15 so taller than stock which is OK but not a good match for the purpose on a 15x9....

Any data logs Rick?, charge temps, coolant temps and so on. Looks chunky with those rims/tyres, reminds me of the first Mini Coopers [burnout]

I am a bit out of sorts right now, sitting here in my rob, I got a serious whack on the head and neck, upper back, etc...Sunday and not quite myself yet.

Sekred, sorry I forgot to post this.

Charge temps:

I take it the temps were pretty good, my next step is a Mishimoto radiator and to divert more air out of the oil cooler away from it, higher rate fan possible....this should help a bit.

My last run was 25 minutes, it was around 70 degrees ambient, humidity no sure but fairly low, I was going all out running the crap out of the car, 3rd, 4th and well into 5th gear down the main straight, middle of the session it logged 113 charge temp at the highest it went, most of the time it was stayed in the low 90s up to 109 or so after a longer pull.

----------------------

Highest oil temp was 238 but mostly ran in the upper 220 range.

Water temp was in the 200-205 or so range, highest logged was 207 just one pull, not sure why in the middle of the session I had my highest water, oil and charge temps then cooled back down and did not go that high again.

Thanks,
Most of my cars are sleepers and none have ever had huge power, just a fully sorted out well balanced package and I have beaten scores of cars with more power and not enough else:)
