So I bought some Rota slipstream 16x7 rims that come in our 4x108 bolt pattern. I currently have some orange Sparco's on the car. The Orange and Green combo is pretty awesome in my opinion. Anyways The Rota's come in flat black and I got a quote from a few powder coating places and the lowest price is $300. So should I keep them black or stick with my Orange/Green "pumpkin" theme (as some people have called it)?

My vote is for black. Good looking wheels. I was thinking about these for myself but decided to stick to 17s.

Your car looks great as is. Maybe stick with the same color theme. Or try plastidip to see if it suits before committing.

They are second hand but supposedly new and never mounted on anything. Tomorrow they are supposed to be delivered so I can not wait!

Wheels came in last night and weigh 14.3 lbs according to my bathroom scale. Seeing them in person they look awesome in black

Black

I am not a fan of funky wheel colors and adding a bit of weight to the wheels by powder coating them, I would use the funds to make the car faster instead:)

Tires are 225/45/16 direzza zii star specs. And doing my budget I decided to keep them black and buy a tune so I can get the full benefit of an intercooler and intake upgrade :)

haha nice, let me know if they rub at all. I have KDW's in 225/45/16 on my 16x7.5 Slipstreams, haven't been able to test them out yet sine it's winter.

So I have the new rims and tires on. Pictures do not do it justice with how nice it looks in person. The Wheels are flush with the fenders and the tire is just aggressive. With my +40 offset I have no rubbing lock to lock and no rubbing taking a turn hard. It was so nice to remove the coilboosters I had in my springs to adjust the car from rubbing on the 215/45/17 RS3. Also with the new width of the tire and different tire that car doesn't lose grip where the old tires used to. And my RS3 are worn a bit but still good enough to resale locally so the tread isn't all gone. But anyway with the Zii * there is much less drama going around corners. I feel like I will have to go faster around the corners in order to get the lift off oversteer response I had at a lower speed in the RS3. I am really happy with the tire and lower weight of the wheels.

You can tell that fast on the new tires? I always noticed they are greasy at first and takes while for a true performance tire to break in. Good choice i
On the rims.
