Dealership would have to do a trade and thinks the car is worth MSRP.

This is the 2nd dealership that has said that to me, and the first was Galpin ford that didn't even want to budge on price. I don't qualify for any special rebates or incentives. What do you guys think?

This car has only the recaro package, which is exactly what i want in a color im interested in. I don't see how people are getting these badass deals on the "what did you pay?" thread.

I like the sales managers style after meeting him in person the other day, I'm just... trying to get a decent deal.

Keep shopping, and maybe adapt your approach. Perhaps be more aggressive, and/or more willing to walk away from the wrong deal. If you bank somewhere, perhaps try securing your own financing going into the shopping process.

The best place to get a deal at most dealerships is on the extras.

I did use Galpin and have a great salesman.
The place to deal is on Extended Warranties, Maintenance Contracts and other add-ons like LoJack, Weather Mats and other accessories.

Keep shopping. Get prices from dealers out of your normal area via e-mail, may be worth the trip. Once you find what you want go in ready to buy but willing to walk if the deal is not what you want. Paying sticker for a Fiesta is a mistake. I bought mine from a dealer that did not have one in stock. I told them exactly what I wanted and what I was willing to pay bottom line and monthly. I also told them if they found something with options I didn't want I would consider the car but would not pay for the options.

The dealer located a car close to what I wanted about 40 miles away but had a sunroof. They took the price of the the sunroof off before we stated talking about any other deals. Sticker was 25,600 - free sunroof, 1500 in incentives, 0% for 60 months, dealer took some off, and ended up at 22,400. They had the car transferred and I was driving it in less than 24 hours. And I never buy any of the extras, no extend warranty, paint protection, nothing.

Have the 15's really gone up that much?...

Last Aug (here in SoCal) I paid $23,500 OTD for a fully loaded '14 FiST (it was an all cash deal though) ....still I think you can do much better...

Expand your search to as many dealerships as possible. 2 isn't enough. I'd email/call every dealer within a 100 miles.
