Glass cracked

Got out to my car today and found a crack about two inches long in driver side windw. There seems to be no impact on either side of the window. You can feel the crack on the inside and not the outside. Took it to the dealer and he called it a scratch. He took pictures and sent them into ford. Hopefully there will be a good response. How can it be determined to be a scratch and not a crack? If it is a crack could it be the extreme cold here in NY? Anyone else have this kind of problem? Thanks for any info. 2015 ST with 4800 miles.

I've noticed that when I close my door that the glass is hitting something as I can here the impact. I may have this looked at now.

How did your dealer visit go? Any updates?

Have you been to your dealer to have this checked out? Please let me know, along with your mileage.

Have not been to the dealer as it does not bother me much. I'm sitting at just under 11k miles.

Meagan,
I have been to the dealer (Cortese Ford, Rochester NY) but have not heard back from them as of yet. They took pictures but I have not had the time to do that yet to post here. What do you think I ought to do?

If you do decide to take it in, please let me know. I'll loop in your customer service manager.

Thanks!

I can send this up the chain to check out additional assistance. Send over your VIN, mileage, best daytime phone, and full name, via PM. I'll get on it. :)

Wanted to express a word of appreciation for Meagan's assisting with the glass problem. With her help and Ford's customer care they are going to replace the glass. I could not be more pleased by the great service they have provided as well as Ford's willingness to fix the glass. When most of what we hear is bad news about manufacturers it is nice to hear some good news. Thanks to all.
