Ah the Dreams of me and Mice About the time we got to Boomba only a mere 30 minutes to a Hr late. As we are parking the car we got a text from our Son say he was in a car accident and He is fine. But his beloved honda in not so good. So as the conversation went on and we wandeered about the BUSY Boomba dyno /lot and shop eating and talking it was decided we needed to go back home (4+hr) grab a car dolly and the drive the 3+ hrs to get the honda and bring it home to be looked at and decide its fate. As he is second year college student he had no place to keep it there in La Crosse Wi. That was how we happened not to put the car on the Dyno also I am not sure we would have had time as they we very well attended and had a wait list for the Dyno.
all in all it was a good meeting I met a few of the Boomba Crew not enough but a few and had some well cooked food.. Lots of Cool car and we were park off behind the building but lots of nice cars to gawk at .

Sorry to hear of yours and your son's misfortunes.
We were looking forward to your dyno sheets.
On the good side, at least you have a new VW to let your son use.

LOL good one Dave heck I don't even get to use it during the week but then I never got to run the FIT during the week so all is good ..
Got the car home and He is thrashing on it and it looks like all we will need is a new rad mount welded in and a hood and fenders and a few plastic bits and oh ya a new radiator but the engine and header (front exhaust intake in the rear) was not even touched..
Good lesson and shows the need for a BBK he says , LOL

Oh man. Isn't it just so like that whenever you decide to maybe escape for a little bit and let your college kid fend for him-/herself. It seems that every time we go someplace our girl's world blows up. Thankfully she's in Seattle at UW, which is just across the lake from where we live, but it seems inevitable that some emergency will arise as soon as we step on the plane, check into a hotel, or take our seats at a ballgame/concert/theater/dinner. Oy. You are a member of the brotherhood of facepalming parents.

Sometimes we have to step back and let them suffer the results of their actions, that is far harder to do than jump in and help but sometimes it is what they need the most so they learn from it.

At other times I wonder what they were thinking, why did they do what they did, were they not taught better?

Then I think about when I was their ages....I was worse than they are now in so many ways!
