"Shark fin" style antenna now available for Fiesta

A FoST driver in SoCal found this. Instead of completely replacing the antenna, it covers the base (where the Sirius Antenna is) and just screws into the hole for the aerial. Unfortunately it's listed for FoST colors only, which means there's no color match for Green Envy or Molten Orange; but they do offer gloss or matte black.

I should note, this is mainly for NA-Market Fiestas, since everyone else has the smaller antenna mount at the front (without the satellite antenna) and can use any number of antennas

It does have an integrated antenna panel array for AM/FM reception. I presume a lot of the price is the antenna grid, the cost of painting, and it needs to be made of satellite-permeable plastics.

But still, it is quite pricey.

Hah. Yeah. The Perrin shorty antenna stub is a lot cheaper. Not as pretty, but makes the thing a little lower profile and does the job to me.

Really neat, but definitely pricey. I think it would really look good and add a cleaner look to the vehicle, though. Nice find!

Yes it does.... the satellite antenna is on your front windshield

The mast should only effect AM/FM.
Since this fin has a screw in wire it should help the AM/FM.
I only use FM so I am curious as to how the FM works in a mountainous area?

I didn't notice any drop in the reception but I live in the city
I will let you know how the reception goes when I travel out of the city

I use AM all the time and reception with the stubby is average at best. I'm about to revert back to my RC style OEM antenna. If these were in MO I'd consider. chimp1000 please give feedback on AM reception if you can.

No, that's the GPS antenna. The Sirius antenna is in the base of the roof antenna.

After having the VG Shark Fin installed for more than a week, I would say the satellite and fm radio works fine.
I didn't notice any difference compared to the previous but I didn't get a chance to leave the city yet.

However, I did notice a drop in AM radio.
