Well made up my mind on what FiST color and options i want just to find out i can no longer order it. Dealer said ordering for the 2015 ended on 4/17/15 and no one in the entire state of CA has one the way i wanted it!

So bummed out! I was really excited and now just don't think it was meant to be.

The way I wanted it built:

- Oxford White
- Smoke Storm Recaros
- Grey Painted wheels

Seams like a pretty simple build but now impossible to get!

For some reason Ford is Dropping the Oxford White for the FiST ST Lineup for 2016! Now only offering it in the Platinum White witch I think is Ugly! They still offer the none ST FiST in the Oxford White and the Focus ST too!

So Bummed out and now back to the drawling board.

I looked the color up in google images and I'm having a hard time seeing the difference between Oxford White and the White Platinum Metallic. I was also looking into getting white but didn't think the change in white would've been a big deal. Can you tell me what differences you're seeing that makes the White Platinum Metallic ugly but not Oxford White?

Platinum white wont reproduce well on screen. I have painted that one recently. It is a tri_coat finish that is pretty expensive to repair. My cost for two pints of base and pearl in rts form was just over $300.00. I do not understand why ford changed virtually every color choice for16. Some colors like red and silver are very popular and in demand.

In pictures on the web its is not as noticeable unless you can find the two colors side by side. In person the two colors are much different. The platinum has this kind of champaign tint to it and looks yellowish and not nice and clean and crisp like the Oxford. The platinum i don't think belongs on a race car like the ST. It reminds me of a grandparents color and should stick to the Lincoln big boat cars if you ask me. Now this is just my opinion but i just think its a mistake for ford to make the Platinum the only white color or light color for that matter in the ST Line up next year. Plus there will be a price increases for the Platinum color. I think that if they want to add the Platinum that it would also be more suited for the none ST line up.

That's the combo I went with when I took delivery of my car. I ordered one, but then managed to find the same car a few cities over so I was able to get my car a month early. I am not a fan of platinum white at all. Depending on where you are, have you tried looking into Nevada or Oregon for an Oxford White fist with the options you want? GL, don't settle for anything less than what you want!! I almost had to go with silver at one point...

Funny that you say to check other states. I have checked all the way up to Washington, over to Colorado and Down to Arizona. Called dealer after dealer and also used fords web sight and entered in all the different zip codes!

Only one that was close had a Sun Roof witch is out of the Question because i can not fit with my helmet.

You can get them all day long without the Recaros but that is a must for me.

I had a white one in my sights but the dealer i think knew what they had and how rare the white with recaros are now and wanted $2000 over MSRP and would not negotiate on the price. I actually considered it after finding out how hard this car is to get now and was thinking about paying it but some one already bought the car. I was shocked and thought it would be there for a little bit because of the price but it sold the the first weekend they had it.

Gah, I'm sorry to hear that. That is very frustrating. I hear on you not wanting a sun roof as I feel the same way about headroom. Hopefully something will turn up down the line...

Thanks,
I did try and reach out to a member on here that goes by the name FordService because it looks like they have helps others on here.
Fingers Crossed!
The only saving grace here is maybe this will end up putting me in a Focus RS. But that has yet to be seen or driven and it will most likely be out of my price range. I did drive a Focus ST and did not get the same fun factor that i did with the FiST! They are still offering the Focus in the Oxford White and if you like the Platinum you can get it in that color too. Wish Ford would have done this with the FiST! At least give us the option!

If Platinum White were out for the 14s I would have gotten that. I've seen few nasty CTS-Vs with that type of white, and trust me, it still works on a sporty car.

Yea i get that color is all in the eye of the beholder. I don't understand why ford decided to 86 the oxford white and go with just the platinum. They could have at least made it and option. If i can't find one the way i want it then it looks like I'm not going to get one. It would be cool while driving but every time i walkup to the car i would not be happy.

Why Ford why!?!

CarefreeAZ you are awesome!

So the rado grey wheels AREN'T going away, they're standard (but doesn't come with red calipers). Ebony black rims with red calipers will be optional (as some of us already knew).

I'd like to see an upgraded stereo system and projector headlights as options.

Oxford white with Recaros is a no go for the rest of 2015! Dealers know this now too and they are changing over msrp for them if you find one!

Don't understand why ford would drop the most popular color from the ST line up! If you look at all the polls about colors and options, you will clearly see oxford white is the most popular with orange in a close second.

One reason would be profit margin (I am in no way an anti profit person) is improved if a popular color choice becomes an additional cost option. My biggest issue with the Fiesta ST availability from day one has been how it was promoted to the hilt in buff magazines but then dealer availability was somewhere just north of shit. The cars that dealers did have were optioned to the max in most cases with every option EXCEPT the Recaros! I think many of the potential buyers for Fiesta ST were trying to find base FIST with just Recaros. The ST is pretty well equipped in base trim. I think Ford misjudged how many buyers were seeking a base FIST with only the Recaro option. I also think that Ford has had some difficulty with the split personality market differences that exist between the basic Fiesta super mini and the performance oriented FIST.Dealers have had no great crush of buyers for fiesta since its launch days in 2010, Now they have this steady trickle of people asking to drive a car they do not wish to stock and do not have any notion regarding why someone would want it now. As for not buying one because you cannot get the exact color, there is always the certified pre -owned route. I would hazard a guess that an easy 20% of Fist buyers will be stepping out of those cars by year two, either because of lease termination or the decision that it is just not for them anymore.

You missed the point. I was refering to the very limited supply of cars sitting on dealer lots. If you were looking for a loaded fist, you could get one. If you were looking for a base fist with just the Recaro option, you were very likely to have no luck. And sure, you can order one as you wish, but that does not mean it will be built anytime soon. I also found several dealers that would be willing to dealer trade but would not OR could not, order one for me. I got the impression a few dealers did not have an allocation of FIST. So, they could'nt order me one if i were Brad Pitt.

If i recall correctly, they dont need an allocation as long as its being ordered for a specific person and not for the dealerships inventory, not sure but i think so lol

Just relating what i was told. Manufacturers do control the geographic distribution of vehicles built . Because market demands are often stratified by more than just urban or rural. Any car maker can decide not only "how many" to build. They can also decide what regions of the country they can best supply the most number of units to that will sell the quickest. Because at the end of the day, they want to sell every single car as soon as possible without an incentive. That might be one reason why it may be difficult to find a particular new Mustang GT convertable in Alaska. Not only in December but probably in May too! That Market does not absorb nearly as many of those as it does F250 4X4's.
