BOV Problem or Normal? Boomba Equipped.

I have been doing a lot of testing lately trying to iron out a few gremlins and I may have found a new one.

On hard accel and release I can hear the very audible Boomba BOV, but as I continue to decel I can hear another very faint release of air mostly just when my exhaust starts to burble as I slow. I know some have said the oem system does have some quirky behaviours at times, but I never noticed it before. My next step would be to do a boost leak test but being I am in decel when it happens I should be under vacuum. Vacuum leak or normal behaviour?

Do you have a way if viewing long term and short term fuel trims? A vacuum leak would show lots of positive corrections being made to try and add fuel to bring it back to stoich if it was unmetered by the MAP sensor. How's your idle? Is it smooth and normal or a little high?

Idles good and solid, ltft is 0.78, and stft progress very evenly from 0.78 to -5.47 through WOT 4th gear pull.

If you have boombas bov adapter do yourself a favor and remove it. I had so many issues with it when i got pro tuned. It would purge while building boost. Im using turbosmart bov and that holds the 25 psi im running now. I have a video of it as well.

Well I did a boost leak test today and found nothing. So I am going to chalk this up as an anomoly. I am pretty sure it is unrelated to the Boomba, but I will keep that in mind. I don't have any problems building boost.

When mine purges after I lift off the accel, if I slowly get back on it it'll stay open and just blow air out and eventually close. It also clicks loudly when closing.

Is this with the Boomba spacer or just the stock BPV by itself?

This is perfectly normal. We've tested this on our shop car as well as one of our worker's cars. On decel from high RPMs the BPV makes a sound as if its "slightly open" but it is perfectly normal. We've monitored doing this with and without the BOV adapter through the AP and fuel conditions and corrections are near identical. Nothing to worry about. The bov adapter is just taking noises that were not heard before, and making them audible now that it's venting to atmosphere.

This. Mine does it too. If I accidentally put my foot back on slightly it sounds like it leaves the BOV open and has constant rushing air until I let my foot off. I have the Boomba BOV adapter.

Boomba spacer.
The stock bpv is a really loud click, just want to make sure it's normal. Other than that I love my boomba spacer. <3 boomba!
