Who doesn't like a good POV.

AutoX in my fiesta st in stf class.
Took first in my class. Ran in the second run group so we had zero sun light and it was a little hard to see.
Night events suck but it is way to hot in Vegas during the summer.

No I didn't go to that. Silverton is tiny, all first gear.

Looks like fun, I have never night autocrossed but have done some very fun TD rally's and some much faster stage rally type stuff on my own and love going fast in the dirt in the dark with massive lighting to show all the dips and bumps and potholes.

Have you seen Richard Ohran at events down there?

Tall, older, usually in some very fast older engine swapped BMW but has ran Vettes and a Cayman, he is my buddy from Utah/NV as lives in both places.

I think I've seen him in a vette. But I'm not sure. There arnt too many vette guys that I've seen. I don't autoX often becuase its boring compared to road corse and not enough runs compared to a full track day, but I needed to drive fast and had no other choice. Next time I go I'll ask around and find out.

Yeah I saw that last night. That was my first auto cross event so I rode around with a few people. I'll def be out to check out the longer tracks.
Boring right? Plus they run some creative / weirdo configuration at silverton. Pm before you to to the next one so I can also go.

I used to love to autocross but I would get into it in a new area I lived in for a season or so then get bored again, once I started running track days and then time trials I have only autocrossed a few times since. The main thing I miss about autocrossing is hanging out with all the cool people that go, some of the very best I have ever met, SoCal, NoCal, Portland, events at Packwood, Seattle area, Eastern WA and Utah and once in So Idaho and at national events top names in SM class, etc, all really great people. I have met many national champions and they were all just great to meet and hang out with, instruct me, let them drive my cars to see how they liked them, etc.....

At the track there is not as much time for it, not working the course, sorting out the car if needed, spread out further...still meet great people, a few snobs in expensive cars but most of them are cool and I respect anyone taking a high end car out and going all out in it. I have been blessed with parts to fix an issue, nitrogen to fill the tires, a ride to get something I needed, and I do the same as well when I can of course.

I am really looking forward to meeting all our fellow FiST enthusiasts I can at any kind of event I can get to, much fun there as well:)

Rick
