New member here in Phoenix Arizona, traded in my 2011 Mazdaspeed3 for a 2014 Molten Orange Fiesta ST on 12/31/13. Fully loaded, stock for now. Most it will probably ever see is intake, exhaust, and AP.

Glad to be part of the forum!

I was bent over a barrel by mazda. Long story short i got a ton of water in my headlight on my MS3 because they werent sealed well from the factory and its a KNOWN issue. It caused my HID on that side to go out and the AFS motor (levels and turns headlight beam) to go out aswell. Mazda USA denied the warranty claim, insurance denied it too since mazda had a TSB out on the issue. Fought it for over 2 months then finally did a temp fix that got the headlight working. The headlight assembly is 1200$ and the bulb and ballast (all factory) was another 800 or so. Dealer wanted $2500 to fix it. I got the light working by drying it out and resealing it, afs never worked again.

So i went to San Tan ford on 12/31 hoping to get a deal, fell in love with a Molten Orange one that i specifically went to see. They took nearly a $2000 loss on the car and gave me more than $2000 over what my car was worth on its best day to KBB. I was extremely upside down due to a bad car loan before it. But i walked away $34k. Car had 3 miles on it. It was on the lot for 26.9k, my paperwork says i took it from them for 23k even.

Wow I Hate Mazda, even though I know that FOMC owned part of it. I came from a 09 Speed3 the turbo went out. The dealership wanted about $2500 to replace I have a friend that is a certified Toyota Master tech he said he could get the parts cheaper from the Mazda dealership and then cut me a deal on labor. Anyways The Mazda service manager saw me and my Toyota tech friend ordering the parts and suddenly the parts that where to be here in 3 days took six weeks to arrive after paying in advance. After I got the MS3 running I posted it on Craigslist sold it for more than what KBB said it was worth and my wife and I are down to one car till my FiST arrives. Sorry if I hijacked your welcome thread. Howdy

Not at all man. i know alot of people loved their MS3s. But 2500$ MINIMUM for a headlight that got filled with water from rain, that is just stupid.

I told mazda i planned to buy another car from them after this car was traded in or sold, they didnt care at all. So ill never buy one new from them, ill stick to an old Miata, RX7 or RX8 if anything at all from them. nothing that a warranty would matter on anyways.
