Like the title says, my car will need new rubba's soon and im trying to find out what is the best bang for the buck out there. Ive ran BFG Comp Sport 2, Kuhmo Ecsta 4X and Yokohama S-drives all on different model Civics. But this car is a whole different animal and I want the best tire that matches my information below.

Location: Desert, RARE snow if I decide to drive up north
Driving: Mostly highway so road noise will be somewhat of a concern
Track days: never thus far, just spirited back road driving
Budget: 75-120$ a tire would be best (install would be extra)
Size: Factory size for factory wheels, cant afford any other wheels currently
Because racecar: Because racecar.

I had Pirelli P zero Nero when I had my Abarth. They're pretty good tires for the money and you can get one around $100 a piece if you do some digging.

I was not that fond of the stockers, stealership was giving me the "need new tires soon" talk at 15k miles. As said above car has NEVER been tracked, spirited driving only and no burnouts or "e-brake drifting".

Now that im at 26k miles its safe to assume they are better than i imagined originally but I want to see if i can get a little better grip and all around performance ontop of a BIT less road noise.

I personally love my comp 2s. I got the 15 inch size of 195/55 15s and love their performance. And cheap. Only cost me 90 per tire, granted they are 15s, and I got one practically free with the rebates they were running at the time.

The stock tires are pretty dang good. I'm sorely tempted to purchase another set because they did pretty well on the track. If I wanted more grip I would have to go to an Autocross/track specific tire.

I've always heard good things about Continental Extremecontact DW, but since you mostly drive in a dry climate it may not be the best choice.

Some love them some hate them. I tried sumitomo htr z iii on my old civic si. They were a good summer tire and weren't bad in the rain. They run about $70 a tire

I was thinking about trying some Federal tires for the hell of it.

https://www.onlinetires.com/products/vehicle/tires/federal/205%2F40-17+federal+ss-595+80+bsw.html

$303 shipped to my door and only $60 to have them installed/mounted. All in all less than $400 for a new set of tires.

The weight and load rating is comparable to the OEM Bridgestones.
I just pulled the trigger on a set of these but in 205/45/16 for my 16x7.5 kosei k1's
I'll be sure to let you know how they are. Got them for ~$360

The only issue i see and it may not matter is that it doesnt meet the 84 load rating that comes on the stock tire.

I have run federal RSR and they were junk. They got very greasy and unpredictable when pushed in high heat(ok it was hell 140 degree track temps-the desert in July who'd of guessed lol). I ran these back to back with Advan Ad-08 and star specs and neither shit the bed like the RS-R.

I have also had great luck with nitto Nt-05 matter of fact thats what I
run on my race car currently. These are one of my favorites as far as price and performance.

.
Right now on my FIST i have Pirelli p-zero nero. Im not a fan. I wanted sport comp2 they were out of stock for the long term I was told. The Pirellis track in grooved payment enough I thought I had a loose wheel. This feeling makes casual driving feel sketchy. Wear wise IDK yet as they are only a month old and I can only comment on spirited mtn road driving at which they are also just ok. They were cheap though.

Leaning heavily towards the BF Goodrich G-Force Sport Comp 2's.

Looking like 450$ delivered from TireRack with road hazard and another hundred to install.
