I like the reviews on this car. I started a new job and now drive 90 miles a day so I sold my dodge charger R/T and picked up a used honda CR-Z hybrid. It gets great mpg's but a bit under powered. I think the FiST is a better fit for me. Does this car have built in MPG readings? On my CRZ I get instant MPG and trip MPG, it's really nice way to school your driving habits.

Welcome. Yes it does have the average MPG display as well as fuel range.

Yes it does and just for your info I *can* and have averaged 36 mpg driving around town (red lights, 25-50mph) and upwards of 40 mpg on the highway. That was me trying to get the best mpgs I could. If you give it a lot of gas or drive fast this of course goes down.

I usually average 32-35 mpg. I reset the reading every tank

As others have said, it does. I'm amazed with what I average, city stop and go and a mix of highway and I average 29 mpg.

thanks for the responses. My drive is mostly highway, I think this car would average around 38 mpg, maybe better. Some of the reviews I watched suggested that this car is more fun to drive then the Focus ST, they describe the Fist as the Focus' angry little brother. I drive pretty conservative, but if a good song comes on I like to step on it.

How does a FiST compare with a Focus NON ST, is it faster? Such a feisty little car. I like ingot silver and put on some prettier rims on it. That's the one thing I don't like about the car is it's stock rims. I don't mind the bad rap it got for cheap plastic interior. The recarro's will take attention away from a little plastic knob.

Definetly faster than a non-ST focus. The turbo even spools up nicely while in 6th to make for easy over takes. It was a breath of fresh air compared to my Honda, which I would have to down shift to 5th sometimes even 4th to pass somebody. I don't know if you're into modifying cars or what your plans are but a factory install mountune upgrade would be a nice addition to add more pep and keep warranty

Thanks for the link. This looks like a cold air intake and a tune.

This car is a no-brainer. [SCAMMER ALERT] a FoST and contemplated trading it on a FiST. He drove mine and like it that much. Also, I wouldn't say this car is fast. But holy hell is it quick. I can't count how many times I was in 6th gear cruising at 70mph, gunned it to pass someone, and was doing 100mph before I knew it. With a stage 1 tune to remove the torque limiters in the lower gears, you'll pretty much shit on a good number of the cars you'll see on the roads at a light.

I have been reading some other posts and see people referring to like you said "stage 1" or "stage 3", what does that mean? What's a stage 1 or 3 FiST?

I drive about 70 miles a day and the FiST, in my opinion, is pretty much the perfect daily driver. I average 35mpg and it's a very fun car to drive every day.

Went to their site and it didn't give a price. Also, I'm sure it will drop my MPG's. I think I'm becoming obsessed with this car. I have never bought a new car before and not because I can't afford one, but because I'm cheap.
Decisions.....

Anything that increases performance will decrease MPG. Power is air and fuel. And the maps are free with their AP3. The required mods are not. You can look at their packages instead to see a cost of the mods.

Thanks, hey one thing my honda has is a mode selector. It has 3 modes, economy, normal and sport. Do you know if you can do this with stage 1,2,3?
