First just wanted to take a moment to say that this forum is one of the most well-behaved forums I have encountered on my search for a vehicle. Yes, "vehicle". Ever since I have saddled a dual-sport motorbike I believed that to be my destiny. The freedom, the mobility, the instant acceleration, the gas millage, it is the most fun one can have while still remaining mostly practical. It spoiled me, made hate cages because they were overly restricting. On my bikes I can shoot that gap, jump the curb, see over everything other than semis, and cut past traffic by taking what some would call "questionable routes".
But during the time I was looking for a more reliable (and one that could go actually reach highway speeds) bike as my daily commuter, the Fiesta ST arrived. Now I had always been a fan of the odd, rare, unloved, or enthusiast side of cars. I like the idea of wagons, cheap but indestructible 70's-80's Asian-market trucks, 4x4 subcompacts, hot hatches. But a newer dual-sport bike always won out in my mind. I had followed the Focus ST in case I ever felt the need for a car, but always felt like it was too common, somewhat bland, and dare I say uninspired? And so I never really pursued it. But the Fist is way out of left field just as the Focus RS is, a dream for enthusiasts in America, both equally surprising. And so I started to research and compare the Fist to everything that I would be even remotely interested in buying. Other than a bike, the Fist came to be my one and only choice.

And so about a year later, here I am with my 2015 Fiesta ST sitting in the garage. I'll still ride my bikes around, but now I have the comfort in knowing that if I have to sit in a cage, that it can be just as fun as two-wheels. This thing is a beast, and I can still carry friends around and average about 30 mpg with a few decent stoplight pulls. It feels like my old RWD truck in a sense that both were equipped with 4-wheel disc brakes, a toss-able rear end, and firm suspension, but the Fist will allow me to push a lot harder without worrying about flipping or spinning out. It spoils me in different way than a bike, but I can shoot gaps if I need to, fit up-top the curb if need be, have a passenger scan the road ahead, no questionable routes for this road warrior though. And the confusion of accompanying traffic is priceless. At first other drivers and their passengers point and smirk, "ha that little cute car has racing stripes", and then their grin turns into more of a gaze of disbelief as I pull away, leaving them to contemplate reality.

I can't wait to see what else the Fist has in store as I slowly mod and drive it more. On my to-do list: tint, Xpel Protection film, rally-style flaps, floor/cargo mats, plastidip some pieces, add some color inside, cobb AP, intake, go catless. This will probably take a year, as my main projects are my bikes. But in the future I also want to see if go the route of something more of a highway commuter (removal of stripes/badges, go through the stages, lighter alloys, lower height, wider track) or more of a back-roads runner (some thicker all season tires, 15'' steelies, taller/heavier suspension, skid plates, light bars) or maybe a frank-stein of both routes where I can change from commuter to runner with just adjust ride height and wheel/tire combo, which is entirely possible with the versatility of the Fist. (or maybe save the rally runs for a future Fiesta RS)

A drive from earlier.

Ha, just realized I have misspelled thirty as "thirthy". I blame auto-correct for not picking this up in the first place[facepalm].

Hit the edit and then the advance mode you can edit the title, but not this quote. MUUHhhaaAAA!!! LOL [welcome] Get the flaps NOW. Will be surprised where rocks end up without them.

Thanks for the helpful welcome, and yes I'll definitely consider moving those flaps up because that road earlier left sand crusted all along my rocker panels, and God knows what gravel will do over time.
