Flashing a tune problems?

So, I flash a tune and my car starts to stumble and miss, acting real crazy. I talk to a mechanic at work who tells me to reflash the tune two or three times EveryTime I flash a tune. he said that sometimes the new tune doesn't fully overwrite the old one causing issues.

I flashed the tune 2 more times and the problems did indeed go away.

Is this known in general? or is there another explanation?[confused][confused][confused]

I have no idea as to why your having issues flashing?

I've never needed to re-flash any of my new tunes more than once and I've easily done over a 100 reflashes to date...And have never had any issues loading any of them either...

That said...Your first flash should take without issue and reflashing a few times should not be a requirement for it to upload properly...

Sorry I can't be more helpful as to why your needing to reflash a few times....

BTW...are you making a point (as instructed) to turn off both climate control (fan) and headlamp / auto light before flashing?? Not sure if that would make any difference but worth a try...

I don't even turn off my auto headlamps and with at least 100 reflashes I've never had a problem. It sounds like a problem with the tune.

It sounds like a problem with the tune.
I don't know, after flashing the same tune again the issues went away. I also shut off everything before I flash

/edit

This car did hit a deer last year and have a spanking brand new long block put in at a dealer. I felt the car was "different" and a bit quirky afterwords, but repeated trips and complants to the dealer never resolved anything.

you're the first I've come across with that kind of issue, i've lost count of the number of times I've flashed and there's never been a hiccup.
