Hey guys, just swinging by here to ask a few questions.
I work for a small media company and we're contracted to find a few cars for a large car manufacturer so they can study the Audio Video Navigation systems.

One of the cars needed is a Ford with the new Sync 3 system. As far as I know, the Sync 3 is no longer made by Microsoft, thus making it a totally new system in the eyes of rival OEMs.

From what I can gather, 2016 Fords seem to be pretty far and between at the point in time, especially ones with Sync 3 (I believe only select 2016 models get Sync 3: Fiesta, Focus, Escape and Mustang. Interestingly, not the Fusion or Explorer), which brings me here to a Fiesta ST forum.

It seems like the standard 2016 Fiesta isnt being sold yet, but the 2016 Fiesta ST is.

So what I'm asking is if someone can confirm the 2016 Fiesta ST does indeed have Sync 3.
Also, if you happen to own one, would you be interested in lending your car out for a couple days for research in the Orange County area, you'll obviously be reimbursed with cash. The research consists of mostly testing the functionality of the system and its interaction between mobile devices and the user. Its basically a glorified photoshoot and test drive, with the focus being about the electronics. There wont be any tearing apart or disassembly, If that was the plan, the manufacturer would've bought the cars themselves. Let me know if you're interested, we basically just need any ford with Sync 3.

Thanks for time guys!

I work for a Ford dealer, and own a 2015 Fiesta ST myself. The 2015 has the old Microsoft Sync system, the new 2016 model does indeed have the new Sync 3. We have plenty of 2016 Fiestas and at least one Fiesta ST on the lot.

Thanks for the confirmation. The local Ford Dealer for me in Torrance is either not selling the 2016's or actually doesn't have them.

I have a 2016 Mustang with Sync 3 if that's an alternative.
YES YES YES! A 2016 Mustang with Sync 3 is certainly a viable alternative. If you're in the Anaheim area, the location wouldn't be far too. I'll PM you with some details in abit.

I'm not in Cali but have a 2016 with the Sync 3 system. I have it paired to my iPhone 6s and so far I love it. It's QNX based and some limited Apple CarPlay integration at the moment. I can run and control Spotify on the touch screen and also have access to Siri via the button on the steering wheel and on the touch screen.
Only issue I have had so far is that when playing Spotify and then using Siri, Sync 3 connects to Siri over Bluetooth and sometimes won't connect back to Spotify through the lightning cable. Could be due to the ios9 update.
Let me know if I can answer any questions for you. Feel free to PM me.

Thanks for the heads up.
Maybe the labcoats who run the test will come across the same problem, we'll be using a wide variety of phones, so if does it for any non-ios9 phone, they'll probably get a good idea of what's up.
