A Pillar fit and discoloration

So shortly after I got my FiST I noticed that on the passenger side the a pillar moldings where crossed over each other instead of one going on top of the other like on the drivers side. I figured that it was just from assembly and I could get a trim tool in there and fix it. Unfortunately I realized that the pieces diverge from each other so that they cannot overlap properly and I am stuck with this poorly fitting molding I have to look at. On top of that both of my A-pillar moldings are changing color to this uneven grey which does not match the rest of the car. As if the design of the A-pillars was not shoddy enough already not I have a genuine fit and finish issue and discoloration on both that looks terrible. I would expect this sort of thing from a Soviet Volga I did not expect it from Ford in 2015. Will a ford dealership even acknowledge this as an issue or is their sense of quality so numbed from decades of american car industry decline that they will tell me its a common manufacturing defect and do nothing.

I shouldn't have to feel how cheap my car is every time I grab the inner door handle and feel the pieces separating in my hand. I love the way this car drives but at this rate the interior will be in shreds and the paint chipped and faded to nothing by the time I pay it off. Yes ford i did notice how you applied only half a coat and called it good.

My car still makes me feel special but its only 3 months old and the issues are piling up. I owned a MX-5 for 10 years and had less issues than I have had in 3 months with this Fiesta.

Take it to a dealership and find out. The door handle separating sounds like an issue I would want to get fixed. Mine is solid, so it can be done.

Sorry to hear you are having issues, maybe FordService can help.

This is that car that satisfies my driving standards. I just figured with a MSRP of 25k it shouldn't have the interior fit and finish that it does. Does the car being cheap make it ok that they put it together like this? Obviously the A-pillar is a manufacturing flaw.

is everyone having the A-pillar turning grey

I haven't noticed but just because your car was 25k doesn't mean they all are. If you picked recaros moonroof and nav that's another 3-4K. This is a fiesta at the end of the day. I got mine for 20k out the door (base) and it is what it is. Not trying to be a dick about it and I understand where you're coming from but you can't have Audi expectations on a car that's built off of a platform that starts at 15k

Take it to the dealer. My headliner rattles like a rain stick. Drives me shat bit crazy. I'm taking it in. And they will fix it. I won't leave until they do.
