There is so much I could write about DHM...so keep in mind that brevity will be an understatement.

Russ and the DHM crew are simply the best... From the quality of work to the customer service. Since I began my journey with DHM, there is not one question I can think of that has gone unanswered. Not only have I received above and beyond customer service, I've also learned valuable lessons; he's a great teacher. If there are any issues you can't figure out, he'll walk you through, he'll help you troubleshoot... Now, the quality... Reiterating my sentiments, I praise quality over quantity. With Russ and his crew you get QUALITY. When you want power, no one comes close. DHM is talented and won't settle for anything less than excellence.

As for the negatives... I don't have anything to say. Some people won't like the wait times on parts, and some will say DHM doesn't respond quickly enough. To those people I say, you have to become engaged.

There is no doubt; I love being a part of the DHM family.

Nothing but good things to say about these guys. They are great people. Their service is amazing, they go out of their way to make sure the customer is happy. I'm not sure when they sleep (if they do...) but they are always very quick to reply any type of communication. The first night of tuning my Fiesta, DHM had a solid tune on 91 octane that was right near 300whp. Where other tuners take a day to reply on each revision, they had it nearly done the first night. Russ is amazing at tuning. The car runs smoother now with the big turbo and Russ' tune than it ever did stock. When you send them pictures of the parts installed they look through the pictures for anything that might be wrong. Being a person who has hooked something up wrong he was quick to point out what I did and why I shouldn't do it.

Initially my wife always wanted my MazdaSpeed3, so I caved and told her she could have it if I could put a turbo kit on the Fiesta. She went for it. Well needless to say, thanks to DHM's top tier quality work, service and customer relations, we now own 2 Fiestas. The second one is soon to have an upgraded turbo as well.

They sell more than just big turbo kits, I don't think a lot of people realize this. Their prices on stuff are awesome. Whenever I need something for my cars, Russ is the first person I ask. If he doesn't have it, he will send you in the correct direction to get it!

Great build quality. Great prices. build time/shipping was less than desirable. Communication through forum was not good.

I was happy with the product when I received it though. [party]

Have worked with DHM for my hot charge pipe and stock replacement fmic. Russ personally did the install and took his time to answer any and all questions. DHM is a great company with superior quality and service. Russ will go out of his way to satisfy a customer and it shows. I wish nothing but the best to them and will continue to use DHM for my parts and tuning.

Just got a Pro Tune yesterday (stock turbo....so far....) and I am extremely happy. Working with Russ on the down pipe, CBE and Tune has been great.

Would just like to chime in with my experience.

Russ has been helpful with every decision I have had to make in this build since he got involved. It's been great being able to have a dialog about building the best parts for my application instead of only just picking from things off a website to order. I have spent a decent amount of money with him but he has discouraged me from spending even more money on stuff that wouldn't really help more than once, so I do feel like he puts the output above the profit when it doesn't make sense.

As mentioned build times are less than what he wants right now but that is a product of a new startup, and I am sure it will get better. Communication is very good, actually great once you realize the context... you are not contact a phone support person. You are contacting the salesman, support person, R&D'er, & fabricator.

Having bought almost all the upgrade parts at least twice for this car now, I can tell you the best fabricated parts are for sure DHM ones and I didn't buy cheap to begin with. The fit and finish was worth the wait and I was never told no on a tweak I wanted to stuff (better IC core, bespoke tow hook mount, custom coatings). I think the only thing he wouldn't do for me I asked about was to put a porsche VVT turbo on the fiesta. :)

My original goal was to hit 300+whp on almost the smallest turbo you can upgrade to, and we finally are doing that on pump and with more to come. They have earned my trust with parts for my car.

I have to give Russell and Corey a HUGE shout out. I bought the factor fitment intercooler from DHM. They did the install for me today! a day they do not normally work. That right there speaks volumes for the kinda of men they are. I was in and out of the shop in 1 hour total. That includes the time Russ took to show me around the shop, and talk a little bit. Unreal. The quality of their workmenship is unreal. Just had give a huge shout to those guys, for all they do and just being as bad ass as they are! Awesome shop, great guys, and always a pleasure to do business with.

I would like to say , as a guy with not much money but a fantastic stock FIST , I read all the forums always check all the websites constantly looking at parts trying to figure out which way to go which part to buy to get the most performance for the smallest dollar. I went to DHM a coupe of weeks ago because I was working in the area and was close enough. When I got to the shop Russell and his crew were closed. I heard a very sweet ride going up and down the street back and forth. I was telling myself "thats not a fiesta" sounds to good. (YOUTUBE DOES NO JUSTICE) but it actually was and it was Russell, (in a customers ride) he saw me from the street and stopped and asked me if there was anything I needed and I told him I was just there to check the place out. He told me he was headed to a dyno to finish up the car he was driving. Now most business owners would have said , "Yeah im closed but ill be back later" He didnt he took me inside and showed me around, knowing I just wanted to hang out and pick his brain. He took the time so still show me around and talk Fiesta, I felt I needed to purchase something to make it worth the 20mins he spent with me so I asked to buy a Tshirt and a few stickers. He wouldnt take my money. So while this black friday weekend there is stuff on sale all over the internet I found a Injen cold air intake that was priced far cheaper than what is listed on his website, I text him on his CELL phone to ask if he would price match and he accepted. told me I could have it at that price whenever I wanted to order it. Most businesses would have said "you have until 12pm to get it for that price but he didnt seem to care. So i am going to order it sometime this week probably payday. I know im blabbing but im just speaking how I feel about the place as a guy who has always working customer service jobs and kissing customers butts its just nice to see it come my way a little bit and that is how you earn a customers business. I hope the Fist community will look up www.deadhookmotorsports.com and order anything you need or call him and ask him for advice about your car and I assure you you will learn something. support the local and non local small businesses.

I purchased the race Intercooler and crash bar from Russ and DHM and I could not be happier. Even through SEMA week I was kept abreast of the projected build and delivery time and just all around amazing customer service. Once the intercooler and bar were ready to ship I didn't even have to pay shipping, which I was not expecting since it's very large.

The package arrived quickly and the packaging was extensive. It took me a good 10 minutes with a utility blade to get all of the plastic and bubble wrap from the parts. Though there wasn't an instruction video, Russ literally gave out his cell phone with 7 day a week support. The actual bar and intercooler are as nice as the pictures you may have seen here on the forums. When I had trouble, I was able to immediately reach Russ himself... on a Sunday morning. He wasn't upset or put off by me bothering his weekend either. He was already at work in his shop. All of my questions were answered, down to the smallest detail, and I was able to get everything installed myself despite being a complete newbie with only basic tools and a jack and stands.

I would not hesitate to buy from DHM again, and look forward to more of their products in the future. Thank you again Russ!

By the way... you can't beat the deal for this intercooler and crash bar. I love COBB, but this setup is less than their charge pipe and IC setup, and with more benefit. You end up with more air flow, don't require any cutting or trimming (though you do need to omit a few plastic pieces under the hood), and are left with an intercooler that is literally multiples larger than the stock one. This intercooler is easily twice the volume of the stock set up. The stock one feels like a tiny piece of junk in comparison and I can already notice much cooler temps!

Purchased my IC from DHM on Black Friday, got a great deal and the intercooler is awesome. As you can see, it's about double the width of the stock IC and the end tanks are a much better design. Includes really high quality boost clamps, no worries about them ever working loose. The ends of the IC charge pipe mounting points are flared out so they hold on the charge pipes really well. Definitely no worries about the charge pipes ever coming off.

Install was a bit complicated for someone who has never done something like this, but I hit up Russel on Facebook and he instantly answered. This is on a Saturday evening too. He messaged me his cell and walked me through the install and sent me some good links. 2 plastic pieces have to be removed, (they just pop out) but other than that it fits in pretty easily. You will need an 8mm crescent wrench, preferably with a closed end to install the mounting brackets for the IC. An 8mm ratcheting wrench would make it a lot easier as space is pretty limited and socket wrenches won't fit. Overall, install isn't crazy hard or anything like that, but for someone relatively new to modding cars I'd set aside a day. It's more time consuming than it is hard.

The quality, especially for the price is amazing. Shipping was really quick, got it within a week. I think they normally take up to 2 weeks, but I imagine Russ had some made up for Black Friday.

Packaging was great, IC was saran wrapped and surrounded by styrofoam and styrofoam pellets. Great to see it was well protected, very little chance it could be damaged in shipping unless UPS decided to drag it behind the truck.

For like $150 less than competitors, you're getting a great product and you're supporting a great guy and a great company. Haven't had a chance to monitor charge temps, but I have no doubt they will be much lower and more consistent. Factory fit just as advertised.

Overall really satisfied. Thanks DHM!

I have to give another shout out to Russell. Last weekend I got my Intercooler from him, installed on a Sunday none the less. This weekend I picked up the MBRB hot side pipe, fitted with the TIAL Q BOV. VERY great price on it, Russell was at PRI and did not get home till around 4:30 in the AM on Saturday. Instead of calling me, or texting me and telling me this, he still welcomes me to the shop at 11:00 AM to get the install done. This guy is always a stand up guy. Awesome to work with, VERY helpful with everything, and just does amazing work. I cant wait a few more months to jump on the quickspool big turbo kit. Seriously, the best guy in the business right here.

My Dead Hook Motorsports Experience

DHM Items purchased: GTX360R turbo kit, DHM 93oct tune w/ aux fuel by Russell Culver, remote live dyno tuning by Russell Culver, DHM Fiesta ST symposer delete, DHM Race intercooler kit w/ crash bar and Garrett core upgrade, DHM ethanol tune by Russell Culver

My overall experience with DHM/Russell Culver can be described as "superior". From communication, quality of products and tuning, all aspects are superior to anything I've experience in the car modification world. My money went far with this company and I guarantee I will be a repeat customer. I hope DHM expands to other platforms in the future so I can continue to use their products.

In retrospect, I wish I had just began with DHM products from the beginning. I started modifying my 2015 Ford Fiesta ST w/ a Cobb Stage 2 package using the Stage 3 OTS map, ATP catless downpipe and MBRP 3" catback exhaust. At this point, I have found myself selling off my Cobb intercooler, Cobb intercooler piping, [Cobb intake, MBRP catback] and ATP downpipe and replaced them with DHM parts.

As noted before, if there's one "negative" point, it's the expected wait time for their hand-fabricated parts. Point blank, EVERYTHING Russell and Cory make with their talented hands is worth the wait. My Fiesta with DHM products and tune is as reliable and solid as a factory car. As for performance, my DHM Fiesta has surprised and pissed off a number of cars including a turbo FR-S (308whp) and a fully-modded STi. As for practicality, my WORST calculated gas mileage for one whole tank is 29.3mpg with me enjoying numerous highway pulls.

Attached to this post is a V-dyno showing the boost and AFR profile of the GTX360R kit, a Dynojet pull overlapping my stock baseline run and a few product pics. In the provided dynos, the car is still running a 93oct MAP with a Cobb intercooler. The e30-40 tune with the race intercooler with Garrett core upgrade have yet to be installed and logged.

Thank you Dead Hook Motorsports!
