I thought the car belonged to the camera guy? Anyway, well modifications don't add value but its fair to comp the seller alittle bit for what they invested in it. That being said Hijinx is right over 18K and you are paying too much.

Yeah I wouldn't get star struck over it. Cobb stage 3 is meh I would sell and upgrade some of the parts.

But if you can get it for 18k I'd say it's a good deal. Only has 15k miles which is low

I think he said his lease buyback is 16.8k on his podcast. He said he would sell it to a friend for that price.

I thought Thaddeus owned the vehicle at this point? Sad to see it wont be apart of TST anymore, but at least someone in the enthusiast community might have it. I like when he refers to the car during his one takes in comparison to other people's vehicles. Always make me smile, haha.

Good luck!

You are required by fist law to put 100oct in this car, load the tune and take it to any dyno-jet not owned and controlled by Cobb, lol.

I'd say $17,500.00 seems like a middle ground where its a fair price for them and you. Its low mileage ( half the miles of mine and I wouldn't take less than $16,800 for mine ).

It is sad to hear they are parting with it... Kinda hoped they would go further modding it, but Matt said Cobb paided for everything on it as fas as cobb stuff. Its like a medicine study sponsored by the medicine manufacture, guess what the results are, lol.

Their YouTube videos were entertaining... BUT, the dyno results they got were wildly inconsistent, so I agree... go dyno that thing if you buy it, OP. ??????

Completely slipped my mind... You are absolutely required to put it on a dyno. I bet a few of us would chip in to see this things real numbers.

OK let me sift through thisā€¦.

Regarding the build, COBB did everything. So itā€™s all their parts, installed at their Southern California Location.

- First we did stage 1, which is the panel filter and tune
- Stage 2 is the Cold Air Intake (which will not suck up water; itā€™s in the same location as the stock one), Cobbā€™s high-efficiency aluminum Intercooler, and another tune
- Stage 3 is the turbo-back exhaust, rear motor mount, exhaust mounts, and another tune
- 100 Octane tune is simply a pro-tune for this specific car on 100 Octane fuel. In order to use this tune you have to fill with 100 octane while the car is very low on pump fuel. Like with the fuel light on.
- The Bushings, brake lines, and brake pads were all done by Pierce Motorsports and are reliability-focused.

There should be no problems running the 91/93 tune or 100 octane tune in cold temperatures. I called COBB and they said the ECU adjusts automatically for that. It does not need any further modification powertrain wise, if I were going to keep the car and add something else, the next thing would certainly be a Quaife Limited Slip differential up front. As it was a leased car, I didnā€™t want to pull out the gearbox haha.

If you buy the car, you donā€™t have to make it a press car, and in fact I would not recommend that unless you really want to. I appreciate the offer to drive it in New England, but I have my Vanquish in CT so Iā€™m covered :)

Iā€™m looking to get $18,000 for the car, and all the stock parts are included and will fit in the back of the Fiesta for your drive home. I will also throw in a pierce motorsports rear chassis brace, never installed and in plastic, as well as a really dope set of HID headlights from ModBargains, ready to install and still in the box. I will also have it fully detailed for you so itā€™s as fresh as can be. If you want someone locally to come check out the car before you buy it, Iā€™m fine with that too. I will also meet you personally to deliver the keys, and if you like, demonstrate the carā€™s handling abilities with a blast through the canyons before you go.

If that works, a transfer from your bank account to my Wells Fargo account would be ideal, and I can have the car sitting and waiting for you on January 13th. I just need the payment by December 22nd.

Howā€™s that sound?

Matt

I vote for a "Do it!" Sounds like a good deal, you get all the stock parts as well which is nice if you decide you don't like the Cobb parts.

The car was flogged a bit; but isn't that why we buy these cars? I would personally pull the trigger ASAP. I am sure he said 18K willing to go down a bit but offering him 16.5 is a kick in the nuts I would offer 17 and try and deal to a max of 17.5. Isnt book right about 18?

So you would offer 17k but 16.5 is a kick in the nuts? Common man I would hope no one is that petty over 500 bucks. Regardless were both talking about starting a little low on purpose.

To the op congrats even if you didn't bargain at all it's still a cool car at a reasonable price. Post picks and let us know your impression [emoji41] .
