Hello Guys,

First I'd like to start off by saying that I've had my ST about 4 months now, it's a year old and has done roughly 12,000 miles. About a month ago I fitted a Milltek Race Catback.

Today however, after driving home from work, I noticed that my car was making a racket for a warm idle. I got out and checked and I noticed it was making a kind of spluttering noise. I put my hand infront of the exhaust tips and noticed that it was sucking air in and out continuously. Obviously this isn't supposed to happen and it should just be forcing it out. I got a video of it which I will post the link below.

I googled the issue and found out that it could be due to a burnt exhaust valve however no other ST's have had this issue, it is only a year old, has 12,000 miles on the clock and has never been properly abused.

If anybody can give me any information/advice on the issue it would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks,
Ross

I would think if you had a bad exhaust valve you would have no compression on that cylinder, because the exhaust valve wouldn't be closing on the intake stroke or the compression stroke.

Meaning you'd have a misfire as well... any check engine light? Loss of power?

You could pull the spark plugs and see if any of them look different than the others.
