Inner Fender Liner Alignment

So I've looked everywhere and cannot find anything to help me here. It appears that at some time in the past, the previous owner or a shop installed the front fender liners (not sure if that's what they're called) incorrectly. I'm not a huge stickler for fitment, but I like things to at least be close. This is bugging me to no end! Anyone else have issues with the alignment of this little rubbery piece? Mine are poorly aligned on both sides and I cannot figure out how to fix this for the life of me!

Here's a picture of what I'm talking about. That little rubbery piece sticking out on the left.

IIRC it needs be tucked behind the liner. right now it looks like it's on top of the liner. need to reverse the spots. no need to take the wheel off, just turn it all the way to one side to access the screws and clips.

Here's a better picture of what's going on in there. Doesn't look like any screws or fasteners are missing and I took apart/reassembled this area to be sure. I'm thinking maybe there's something wrong further up (maybe by the air dam area) where something should be pulling this forward but isn't.

Looks like is just deformed over time from road debri packing behind it. Just clean it really good and heat it up with heat gun or good hair dryer while "forming" it back into the right position. Note that it normally does protrude about 1/4" from the fender itself.

Welcome to the forum! Have you had a chance to speak with your Ford Dealer about this? They'll be best to inspect, diagnose, and either repair or provide guidance. What's the model year and current mileage of your ST?

It's a 2014 with about 32k miles, not sure off the top of my mind. I may stop by the dealer if I get some time. Thanks
