Hello all!

I've been ghosting this forum for the last few weeks. At the end of December, my truck's transmission slipped while pulling a trailer for a friend, and it was the last straw. I had just sold my "race car" gutted Mk1 MR2 in Florida and was itching for a fun daily driver again, so after lots of browsing and violent hair removal I ended up with a '14 Performance Blue Fiesta ST. Recaros, Grey painted rims, and power moonroof. Nearing 11,000 miles and lots of fun so far.

No real mods yet, other than a throttle pedal spacer because I found it near impossible to blipshift. I used to be an avid racer on iRacing (some of you may have heard of it) but real life got in my way and I had to sell my computer rig. I started a big iRacing team and have been trying itching for a way to sort of "test" and see how much iRacing sharpens driving skill in a real life environment, but that's another story :). I will be looking forward to attending as many autocrosses and track days as I can this year in the Great Lakes region. Still doing lots of reading. My plan is to keep the car limited to simple aesthetic modifications, driver improvement modifications (like the pedal spacer), and bolt ons. She's begging for a cat-less DP and cat-back exhaust haha.

I will post up some pictures as soon as I can find a camera worthy of snapping shots of the car. My crappy camera phone just... ugh. Doesn't do it justice...

Stand by for a myriad of stupid questions and discussions in their respective categories!

Thanks for the warm welcome guys. I WILL be autocrossing every damn chance my shoestring budget lets me. I've always been just outside of the financial ability to have a reliable competition-ready vehicle AND the time to go to events and meets. I lived in FL for a year and went to a cars 'n coffee just before I moved back to Allegan. Such a cool day. That meet was to gear heads what a hobby shop is to dorks. A place you can nerd out on what you love with only a minimal amount of pointing and laughing :p. I hope this summer I can get more involved with autocross and find some events in the area.
