EWG Cyborg Turbo Review

Sup guys, so i just wanted to give my thoughts and opinions about how i chose my EWG Cyrbog. Okay so where do i begin, first i was at full cobb stage 3 and recently had gotten a pro tune by adam @ tune+ and did a E30 tune and thought it was amazing the torque was amazing it threw me back in my seat every time but once you started to hit the higher rpm and could feel the turbo running out of juice, so i started to think about upgrading my turbo at the time DHM just released their quick spool kit and it was a lower price compared to their other kits but it was still alot of money and i came across SourSkittle thread on the cyrbog and read through every page of the post which is ALOT but it had alot of good info about everything that i needed to know about the cyborg. After reading all of that and giving it a day or so to think about it i decided to go with the cyborg cuz of the very reasonable price and the power it made without the turbo lag you would get with the big turbos and plus i do alot of city driving so i wanted to keep all the low end torque as much as i could. First i was gonna go with an internal setup but SS told me that he did have a option to go EWG if i wanted, so i went on the internet and did a little research and found out the benefits of what one could bring so i was like fuck it racecar and went to a EWG instead lol. I just recently finish tuning my EWG cyborg on E30 and its AWESOME! now every time that i rev it out 5k-6k feel like it just keeps pulling and pulling and also it has a very nice linear torque curve like a traditional turbo car but don't get me wrong i love that donkey kick from the stock turbo but it would mostly be spinning the tires but now i put alot more of the power down to the ground, and oh man when that EWG opens up its freaking crazy its loud af but i love it if someone pisses me off on the road i would just floor it and scare the shit out of them with it lol

SourSkittle was a pleasure to work with he explained everything to me in so much detail i was so impressed about his knowledge about everything and anything about turbos, so my whole wait time was around 4-5 weeks for my cyborg to arrive, and in that 4-5 weeks he would always constantly keep me in the loop the turbo build by sending me pictures and text about how everything was going. Now that finished with the install and tuning i am one happy customer and would recommend this to anyone that doesn't want to spend alot of money on a new turbo but still get alot of power and drivability out of it, its amazing and worth every penny if not more, DO IT JUST DO IT! [gunfire]

Here's a couple of pics of my EWG Cyborg

Yes! This helps a lot so did you end up going with Kp39 charger? I also want to go ported and ewg with the upgrade. All in all about how much did spend? As soon as tax returns come in I'll be doing this!

I forgot did you have to send in your exhaust manifold then to get it ported or did they send you one with the turbo?

Are you going to get a custom DP to route the EWG into it? Its your car but that is a very "interesting" sound just dumping it.

I almost posted "no you won't, I'm too busy and you haven't ordered yet", lol. Then I realized... Your the guy I've been sending pics and videos to of your parts, lol. PS your parts are at the welder, lol.
I'll be personally installing his as well :)
Gotta make sure I have some vacuum line and T-'s on hand for your setup too :)

I need a secretary to keep track of people, lol.

Have you had a chance to do a dyno run yet? It would be really nice before buying this turbo setup from Sourskittle if we could see a graph. I trust what your saying, but for those of us that are considering all of the options, the graph curve means a lot and says a lot.
