Hey thanks for posting Jason...saw this on FB the other day...

I also saw that someone posted asking "How about an MRX turbo kit for Fiesta ST"...Mountune replied..."soon"

Looking forward to seeing their FiST results....

I was also kinda surprised to see Mountune's MSRP price listed for their MX Turbo Kit @ $2299...

Wonder how long before we see their FiST Turbo kit released?

The pricing on this kit is probably the most sobering aspect. It's INCREDIBLY competitive on price with other offerings and comes with tuning and very high quality and thought-out parts.

$2700 for the amount of power they gained isn't that impressive in my eyes. i am super excited to see what Russ's results are with an EFR quickspool kit.

I'm still waiting and very eager to see final test results of Peron's new twin scroll turbo kit for the Fiesta ST....

That said, it's great to see that Mountune will be offering turbo upgrade kits and I'm just pleased to see there will be more turbo upgrade paths and options to choose from in 2016 to suit one's particular goals and needs....

It's really exciting isn't it? We are starting to see the major players begin to make moves and putting together extremely well-developed and thought out solutions to our power problems. This can only bring a win to the consumer in my mind. Mountune's fit and finish is never in question to me; even if they aren't always my choice for what I think works for me, they are at least considered. The only thing I haven't liked much from them is their FMIC. It's made very well, but it doesn't hold up to a bar and plate design from what I have seen. At least not on the street. It does do better in track and rally where it allows more air to reach the radiator and oil cooling components behind it by being a tube and fin implementation, however.

Mountune knows what it is doing in the labs and they have the R&D budget to back up their products.

I think that while this kit and programming may not make bleeding edge power, it will give the grand majority of people exactly what they are looking for with a well known nameplate behind it to help ease any concerns they may have; myself included.

you have to buy their downpipe.
There are no other options, so I don't see why they didn't just include it in the kit... they probably did so to make the price appear lower.
Damn good catch. I did not see that. Such is life with EFR kits. The downpipe standard location has to move, does it not? Not including it is definitely misleading, however...

Yep indeed. However, companies like DHM include that kinda stuff in their prices. Mountune is generally expensive so when I saw this kit I knew there had to be some unmentioned cost...

Agreed...

Since Mountune's Turbo kit for the Fiesta ST has yet to be released and priced from Mountune along with performance data we'll just have to wait and see if its worth the price...Personally, if their data looks good then even $2700 for the turbo kit (including downpipe) still sounds reasonable to me...

I've been patiently waiting to upgrade my turbo in anticipation that a few more well established companies would be offering turbo upgrades in the new year that would provide well balanced performance along with high quality and proven and tested reliability that I'm looking for...I don't need +300whp to be content with my FiST as I have no intentions of racing it...Different strokes for different folks! :)

Just for speculative clarity, Mountune says that you'll need the below for the FoST (in addition to the "upgrade"). So, if you're starting from scratch, it's $2,299 (the current sale price) + you have to buy all the below. That easily puts you over 3K if you have to buy all these with the upgrade. The DHM GT290r kit is $3,650 and comes with the Catless Down Pipe, but you have to buy an intercooler. From what I'm seeing (assuming the FiST has similar pricing to FoST via Mountune), these are basically price competitive kits.

*Upgraded Intercooler
*Cobb Accessport
*Intake
*High Flow Down Pipe

Yes, pricing looks fairly close if your starting from "scratch"...

Just happy to see that more turbo upgrade options becoming available ...
