I have owned my 2016 ST for about 3 months. I honesty think the car feels slow and boring and frankly not how a new sports car should feel. There are a few Terminator Cobra's at some dealerships in my area and I am very tempted. Any input?

It sounds like he really didn't understand what he was buying, which is ok. The Fiesta ST is far, far from a 'sports car'. If that's what you are looking for, the Mustang will be a better fit.

honestly, with a statement like that. no offense. but i fully expect you to wrap that terminator around a tree in under 3 months.

I can work this scenario in reverse. I sold a blown Terminator and bought a Fist. With a mild upgrade to Cobb stage 2, it's every bit as fun as the Mustang, but it's certainly a different driving experience. I don't feel like I can stomp everything on the road and everyone else knows it too, it's more of a feeling like when I'm on one of my motorcycles, and know I can pass anyone I like, but don't have to prove it.

You have like what you drive. Incidentally, the kid who bought my blown Mustang totaled it within a year.

I look at the fiesta as a fun car that is definetely sporty but is also efficient and economical. I could have bought a mustang GT if I wanted too but i chose the fiesta. Straight line speed and power isn't everything. The fiesta is a great car and maybe even one of the best in its class. And if you really want it to go fast it can be accomplished at a relatively low cost compared to other vehicles

Uh did you not test drive it before buying?? It's not like it got any slower or any less like a "sports car" since the day you drove it off the lot. I simply don't have sympathy for people who do no research before buying things.

My votes on 2 months to wreck the Terminator. He'll probably come back here after a couple months saying "The mustang wasn't a hatchback like I was expecting".

The driving experience is completely different between the two cars. As someone who has spent a lot of time behind the wheel of my DD FIST, and has driven Terminators and owned Mustangs of all different power levels, if you long for the feel of a muscle car, no FIST is going to give you the same feel from behind the wheel.

Yes, the price point is similar. But you will be trading the longevity and reliability of a brand new car for a 12 year old car, which has likely been abused.

I enjoy my new car, and it's warranty, something that my other choice for a DD, an E39 M5, is neither one.

Blows my mind.. Do people actually test drive cars before buying them any more? Lol

I test drove 4 different fiST's, a focus st, a wrx hatch, and a few other unmemorable cars. I knew the fiesta was the "slowest" but every time I tried checking out a different car I kept thinking about how much fun the FiST was

I went from a 580+rwhp C6 Z06 to my 2014 Fiesta ST and have no regrets. The Z was a monster, but I couldn't get on it without thinking about jail time. I actually look forward to driving the Fiesta a lot more, as weird as that sounds.

What are you expecting us to say? We cant help you solve your midlife crisis.

I'd rather build a LSX Camaro.

I came from a 346whp 356wtq wrx to my fiesta. I, like the aforementioned comment, look forward to taking the fist out for some fun way more than I did the WRX. One of my best friends just sold his 500whp terminator for a c6z06. He let me borrow the terminator for a few days, and after day 2 the novelty wore off, and I was just not feeling it.

I went from a 2014 Mustang GT to the 2016 FiST, and I have no regrets love the FiST. Fun and practical. Feel its more fun and on some twisty roads it sure shine that little car.

My other car is an 09 Challenger SRT8 w/ a manual trans. The Fiesta ST helps me keep the mileage down on the Challenger. Especially during the winter months when driving the SRT8 is not feasible. Both are great cars that leaves the same smile on my face. They just do it differently.

I have a C6Z06 with a Z07 package and I have more fun Driving the FiST daily than the Vette. Get what you want man, but calling it a slow car is far from the truth. Check out my youtube channel and ask how many mustang/evo/m3/sti guys thought that my car was slow. =)
