Catless dowepipe and smoke

As the title says i was wondering for the people running catless downpipes have you guys noticed smoke coming from you exhaust? i've been running catless for awhile now but haven't noticed it till today. i was at a red light and when i was about to take off i looked in my rear mirror and noticed a cloud of white smoke coming out of my exhaust. btw im running meth now and i was thinking maybe it might be moisture from that.

Not seen any smoke from mine. It's cold as hell here though so I've been seeing that. A little bit of black smoke on acceleration isn't uncommon or bad.

When the turbo seal fail oil passing through causes white smoke. Our tiny turbos are being maxed out with a stock setup. So I bet it's time for a new turbo for you. As a side note if your going to try to have it rebuilt do it soon. When the turbo failed on my MS 3 I drove it that way for 3-4 weeks then when I pulled it the turbo builder said the housing was to damaged to repair.

i just got a new cyborg turbo with new seals and everything so i dont think that should be a problem. i was thinking it might be my occ being almost full, i just emptied it see if that made a difference.

White smoke = coolant. Blue tinge = oil.

Check your tail pipes for oil residue if the smoke has a blue-ish tinge.

I am lead to believe this is common across all ecoboost platforms which are just revisions of the mazdaspeed motors. PCV system is weak and oil doesn't drain from the turbo well but when you have a cat in place there is exhaust back pressure that keeps the oil in the turbo to drain properly. With no cat and a free flowing exhaust there is less pressure so when oil builds up in the turbo the easiest way out is through the oil seal into the exhaust causing a bluish smoke. OCC will help but problem remains that when in boost the PCV closes and the only place for crank case pressure to vent is to work all the way up to the valve cover and then back into the intake. Fixes that have helped mustangs and mazdaspeeds where remove PCV and add better check valve, add an oil restricter bolt to the oil supply for the turbo, best solution was to use a new PCV plate with 2 outlets and run 2 better check valve with 2 OCC, one in VTA mode and one in closed. This has been heavily documented for both ecostang and mazdaspeeds and I hoped the FIST would not have the same issues. I came from the mazdaspeed platform to the FIST and I have done enough research on that and scostangs to make your head spin.

I'm curious about this. When I swapped out my BPV recently I did note some oil around the turbo.
I'm not really sure why this is happening or if it's normal. I have a 2jr catted installed.
I've not seen exhaust smoke however.

I had the same thing happen back with my V1 Cyborg. Mine started doing it after my oil was considerably overfilled at one of the quick lube places. [MENTION=688]Sourskittle[/MENTION] and the guys rebuilt it (and upgraded it to V2) for an unbeatable price. Haven't gone back to one since.

It's funny I have oil residue in my charge pipe but I popped off the CCV vent into the CAI pipe and it was bone dry.
So where else could the oil be coming from?
Not really sure what to make of it but Hijinx you jogged my memory that my oil was also over filled for quite some time.
I'm not too worried because I know my dealer will say it is normal or just blame my mods.
But that was the first time I ever had the charge pipe off so who is to say it wasn't there progressively from day one?
If it does go I'll look into a turbo upgrade then.

I checked my tailpipe tips and their dry no oil residue, they r just really black lol
