WMI questions

Hey guys, I have been contemplating running a WMI setup in conjunction with my DHM GTX360r kit (coming soon) and I have a few questions. I would go with E30 but as luck would have it, even though I live on a farm which sells corn solely to an ethanol plant, the nearest E85 is just over two hours away (kinda BS if you ask me). So, my questions are, whats everyone running for kits? I was looking at the devils own kit and also snow performance, both being the progressive kit options. Where are you guys mounting your nozzles and what size nozzles? Lastly, how much mix are you going through per each tank of gas? Or how many tanks of gas between filling the reservoir? Any input is appreciated I did some research on the benefits and drawbacks of WMI and I figure with no ethanol fuels around it's my best option while I wait for an aux fuel system that tickles my fancy to come out.

I can't quite help you, but I'll bring in some vets. But first, since DHM will most likely be tuning your kit, I posit that he will have the best answers for you.... Anyway, Sourskittle rodmoe.

Thanks for the assist Hijinx, honestly as long as I have been lurking this forum I probably should have known to mention them. haha

I run the Devilsown DVC-30 kit

mounted pump right under the drivers side headlight, take the bumper off and there is a nice piece of frame to drill. I placed the nozzle 8" from the throttle body on the charge pipe. The kit comes with 2 sizes 280cc which i'm using and the 610cc.

Takes a good while to run through my tank using the stock windshield washer tank, but i've also wired in a rocker switch to turn off the system. I use peak washer fluid and 2 bottles of HEET. had a friend with an industry Ethanol tester since he works with it at his job, concentrate came out 44.7% eth.

93 + meth Adamtuned resulted in some very good results in throughout my powerband.

I plan on tossing in a switch as well. There's no need to be running that aggressive of a tune with the system on all the time. However, I plan on getting a dedicated tank for the system.

Hells bells! You are running 90 proof booze for WW and octane booster. One more switch/hose and you can set up shooters for your passengers. Good thing we are all mature adults.

My little meth setup...
Aem kit. 1.5 gal tank mounted where the air box used to be. Intake spacer plate using 4 devils on nozzles ( 250cc ). And 1 aquamist .7 nozzle in the charge pipe.

The car doesn't like this... I'm not a good enough tuner to tune all the fuel out ( but I didn't get a ton of time either with it ). I'd recommend smaller than 250cc nozzles if your going to use 4 like I did, lol. The aem pump is turned all the way down pressure wise and the controller is set to reach full spray at 35psi. So the pressure is low as it can go, and the pump controller duty cycle is as low as it can go.

I recommend 100% meth. No water. Bigger nozzles with 100% meth > smaller nozzles with 50/50 mix.

No matter what, its hella difference. With 5 injectors, I was impressed with how long 1.5gal lasted me all while tuning the car A LOT.

That's a pretty slick setup, but it's a little more aggressive than I want to go at the moment. Haha. I think I'm just looking to go 50/50 with a single injector in the charge pipe for now. As for putting the nozzle in the charge pipe, are you guys just drilling and tapping the charge pipe or adding on a threaded bung or...? It just seems like threading the charge pipe might not hold up to 30ish psi.

Loose too much power with 50/50. But I was just kinda wanting to show you
Can really push some fuel with the right setup if fuel is what your after.
MikeST use this setup with larger meth injectors to feed a PTE6262 turbo. Said he used nitrous to spool it, lol.

Since Russ will be doing my tuning I guess I will see what his thoughts are for 50/50 vs 100% meth. I'm really not looking to make insane power (right now) so much as not max out my stock fuel system. For as cheap (relatively) as methanol is if I run straight vs 50/50 the cost in negligable in the grand scheme of things because I won't be running it all the time. What intake are you running Sourskittle? A 2JR? I have an injen so no more airbox but since my car is in storage I can't really look to see how much room I have around there for a tank.

Boomba Throttle Body Spacer.

Includes a pre drilled 1/8 NPT port that can stay plugged or be used for a wmi injector

That is a very sweet setup !

In terms of keeping the valves clean. Would a single injector in the charge pipe be enough ?

This is how I inject water meth on my car. It seemed to be the easiest route to place the nozzle. (I also really don't like drilling and tapping plastic charge pipes) I personally run 60/40 mix of water meth I was told that is the sweet spot for optimal fueling and cooling factor (Before you say it sourskittle I'm not comfortable going 100% methanol lol) I personally placed my methanol tank in my trunk and Hid the pump under the false trunk floor. I placed the controller in my glove box.

How is power lost on 50/50 mix.
Is power literally LOST or is less power gained over 100% meth??

Like if i took my currently stage 1 FiST and started spraying a 50/50 mix throttle body injected. I will literally lose HP from the higher octane and lower combustion temps?

I live in a 0% humidity dry as f*** desert region with temps over 115 in the summer. Cant believe id lose power.
