First off, I want to say that this car from factory is pretty track ready.... Didn't have much brake fade the whole session despite constantly staying on for 20 full minutes each session until the third and last session... I ran out of brake pads and ate the rotors. Went home on local roads mostly stopping using the e-brake. To track 1 hr and 20 minutes, back home 3 hr and 30 mins [histerical]. Also, I had my Torque Pro hooked up to OBD monitoring all the data parameters, no timing pull or overheating for each full 20 minute sessions. This car is seriously ready for track!

Car wasn't responding well to my input the first session. Softened up the coils and reduced tire pressure for second session, got another second off my time. Third session I softened up the coils again and got another second off. Remember, stiff is only good if you have sticky tires. This wasn't the case for me, in which I had to soften the coils so I could use the roll to lean on the outer tire for more grip. I'm on shitty Nexen tires, cheap and doesn't hurt the wallet as much when I'm peeling off everywhere.

Since this is my first time at this track and I haven't managed to memorize all the braking points and apexes yet. I managed to get 1:22.238 for best time. There was another Fiesta ST on Pumaspeed Stage 1 tune and RE11 tires who managed to get 1:19.660. Looks like my next target will be in the 1:20's!

I really wonder if the crash sensor beam being the cause of the over heating issues. Oh and your poor poor pads and rotors XD

I don't think its as big a deal as people make it. Ive had multiple track days at the Nurburgring and Hockenheimring and the car never went over the 4 squares. Granted I don't have a AP to tell me the exact temp but if it cars computer isn't being tripped I assume Im good.

Another thing to keep in mind, I did a coolant change recently at the dealership. They refused to give me 50/50 coolant/water mix. They went with 100% coolant... Still no issues.

From what I've read, the readout doesn't show past 4 bars until coolant temp is about 260F. That's awful hot to me, and sounds dangerous to the engine.
