Hi guys!

I'm thinking to get my calipers powder coated and in the meantime switching my oem brake lines to steel ones. The only thing I'm worried about is that I don't want to have my brake fluids leaking during all the process which can take few days before to get back the calipers from the powder coat shop. I need your expertise to know how I can avoid the brake fluids to leak!

Thx! [rockon]

For one SS lines are not that important, stock lines will do the job for years, I would only do SS lines if seriously tracking the car, etc and might not be needed then.

Clean and spray the calipers on the car with caliper paint, do a good job it will look great and last for a very long time as well. Best to pull the pads, mask off the rotors, etc....far less trouble that pulling them off...

I have had everything from painted stock calipers to insanely expensive race brakes, unless doing a serious brake upgrade like 4 or 6 piston calipers plain old caliper paint will do just fine:)

Spend the money on lower weight wheels and get far more for your investment;)

It's amazing how much improvement can be realized from reductions in rotational/unsprung mass.

Absolute best all around performance enhancer one can do, improves acceleration, braking, cornering, ride, lowers wear and tear on the chassis, helps fuel mileage and there are some great wheels for very reasonable cost:)
