Well these are just Roush vents for a 15' mustang gt to go in place of the stockers. I have seen CF replacements for the stock ones, they have the same profile but the same vent pattern as the stock ones. You could look at those.

Man, I admit...I like them, but they seem too large for the FiST. The one on the driver side also looks off compared the the passenger side.
I do like the overall placement, though.

Pretty sure that's just the photo. This guy is super meticulous. Probably measured 10 times with lasers.

Nice concept...but I think naca ducts do twice the job of cooling as they force air into the vehicle like ram air scoops but without the drag that ram air can cause, even though it is minimal at best. As I did here on my truck recently. ....


For this CAI box that I installed into my truck.......

Nice concept...but I think naca ducts do twice the job of cooling as they force air into the vehicle like ram air scoops but without the drag that ram air can cause, even though it is minimal at best. As I did here on my truck recently. ....
That is also an option you can do and I looked at, but NACA ducts really serves a different purpose.
That is trying to get air into your air box, I have my 2j intake with the filter in the cowl area.
With a turbo charger the ram air effect will do really nothing, the turbo is sucking in air faster than it can be shoved in by air speed, you just need to make sure it as a good place to pull it from.

These are no where near my intake, they are to draw heat out from under the hood and provide a good outlet for air to draw through from the front air damn of the car at speed. They may not be perfect placement or design to have the best effect that I am searching for, but without a bunch of testing its what I can do just taking a shot at it.

Naca ducts are a dual purpose duct to alleviate heat and to draw in cold air. The military loves using these on alot of the expensive equipment they utilize everyday. If air is not being directed at something it's just going to pull in ambient engine bay temps....at least with a naca duct cold air can enter and leave when stationary. Vs louvers that just let it escape and don't really pull it in to add to the cooling effect.As we have all seen alot of the "CAI" intakes sold are not true to being actually cold air intakes as they draw in engine bay air. This is the exact reason buying an intake is pointless and going with say a velossatech snorkel is better with a high flow air filter. Anywho good luck with everything and remember to go nowhere follow the crowd man.[rockon]

Good job !! I like them. I like Rod's slightly more, but I do like them.
Thanks, I think Rod's are my next favorite. I don't care for the RS style vents at all, and I choose these over the louvers because they have more OEM style lines to match the front and not pure race car. I was almost going to do the WRC vents instead, i like them just as much but would end up costing more in the end.

Thought those looked familiar. I had installed a set on my '15GT, but I had them hydrocoated with CF pattern and cleared first. Cleans up the appearance a lot.
