LED Indicators Front and Rear

I did a ton of research on doing LEDs in the indicators but I haven't come across the issue I'm having. I put in LEDs at all 4 corners and wired a 50w 3ohm load resistor in each taillight. It's my understanding that the left and right sides are on the same circuit, so instead of a 50w 6ohm load resistor at each bulb, I only need the single load resistor at a lower ohm. I used a multimeter to figure out which wire was the positive and which was ground (orange +, black -).

When the parking/headlights are off, the LEDs flash normal. When the parking/headlights are on, the LEDs hyperflash. I've tried every combination of wires and a few different resistors and the same result.

Has anyone else experienced this issue and if so, what was the solution?

Did you get the right type of light for the front bulb? I don't know if it's dual filament as I haven't looked too much into swapping the turn signals, but the front does run at two different brightness levels--parking and blinker. Maybe that has something to do with it?

Thanks for the reply. I got 3157 for all 4 as that's what this thread says: http://www.fiestastforum.com/forum/threads/16-Ford-Fiesta-ST-Bulb-Sizes

I'm not sure then, sorry man. I want to do LED turn signals too, since I've replaced all the interior, reverse, and plate lights already but those are easy since they don't require anything extra. But I'm not keen on tapping a resistor into the harness, I wish bulbs were made with them in line. I know that's a size/heat issue so I haven't done the turn signals yet.

Tried a few different configurations and still no luck. One thing I did notice is that the rear bulbs are 3757, not 3157. The base is slightly different on the 3757. It could be that the 3157 bulbs I got just don't play well with 3757 sockets. I'm going to return the bulbs and shelf this project for a little while.
