So as background, I have the DHM crashbar, which has slots for the headlight retainers (those white clips the headlight snaps into). Also, my body panels at the fender/bumper line have never been perfect alignment wise.
My issue is that the driver's side headlight lightly touches the bumper/fender where the bumper and fender come together. This causes the car to creak and squeak when I turn, etc. I've tried loosening the crashbar and realigning it as well as adjusting the headlight. I also attempted to bend the section the bumper bolts into slightly to get the panel to have a tight, uniform gap.
I can't see any real way to fix it. I'm next going to buy two new retaining clips, as one is loose in its gap in the crash bar and the other I broke a piece when reseating it (passenger side, but no issues there).
Anyone else experience this issue, or have any tips? The creak is driving me crazy.
