Wilwood BBK rotor options

Looking to pull the trigger on a wilwood big brake kit here soon and was looking for some input from people running the kit. Are the drilled and slotted rotors or Spec 37 race rotor options worth the extra money? The car will be daily driven (less than 12k a year) see a few autocross events, and hopefully some full on track action 2-3 times a year if time permits. Any and all feedback on rotor choices would be appreciated!

Joszer had this set up for a while and recommended the regular rotors over the Spec 37 rotors. I believe he said that the regular rotors lasted almost as long as the Spec 37 rotors, but were only 1/2 the cost. From everything I've read, if you're going to track the car, slotted or plain rotors are best as the drilled rotors are more prone to cracking.

I installed my Wilwood BBK a little less than a year ago. For the street I use Carbotech 1521 pads, and on the one track day I did since install, I used Carbotech XP10s which worked great.

I used the absolutely cheapest rotors they offered at $35 a piece. They didn't least as long as the Spec37 rotors, but at $35 a piece, 2 cheap sets would last longer than 1 set of Spec37 rotors. In 2 years I completely heat checked and cracked 3 sets of rotors on this kit and rebuilt the calipers 2 times. That was over 20k miles, few autocross events, and around 12-13 track events. Great preforming kit. Used the Hawk DTC60 pads for the track and BP10 pads for the street. If you're going to Autocross and DD, the cheap rotors will last you a long time. Auto crossing will never generate enough heat to stress the rotor. The Spec37 rotors aren't worth the money and even less for your application. They don't contribute to any added stopping power. Go with the cheapest blanks.

When I was researching BBK's, if I was getting the Wilwoods I was going to get the Spec 37 rotors, I think those are the slotted ones. I'm not a fan of drilled rotors. Searching around Wilwoods site you should be able to find rotor part #s
