Shop in Florida for LSD install?

Mods, please move this if it's in the wrong place.

I've been mulling over the idea of saving up for and installing the Quaife LSD from Mountune. To that end, I've been trying to get an idea of the price for an install. Siestarider has been helpful, but the shop he used is under new management and the old guys are gone.

I'm up for wrenching on my own car, but cracking the gearbox open and installing the new differential is something I'd prefer to leave to a professional. Removing and installing the gearbox itself I'd do. Changing the clutch I'd do. But I wouldn't do the LSD install itself after seeing the specialty tools it takes, and the precision required.

So, anyone in South Florida know of a shop you'd trust to install the LSD? Thanks!

What I did was find a clean shop with a good reputation, turned out Owner was a racer and not afraid of the job. So a second approach might be to find a racer who also works on trannys.

My mechanic qouted me $800 Canadian to install an LSD. The standard shop rate is $85, so he probably added $30 more for the extra "complexity". Sounds reasonable as it would take up most, if not all of his work day.

When I was looking at the Milltek page for their exhaust, the two nearest dealers listed on their site were in Doral. One is Wolfcars Motorsports and the other Doral Sports Cars. They might be worth checking out. I was also checking out that Mountune LSD as a future mod.

Thanks to all. Oteri Transmissions (thanks, Siestarider, for the tip) quoted me $1000 for the install, but were somewhat flexible on the price. If anyone else has any tips, it would be greatly appreciated.

Wonder if a local Ford tech with gearbox experience would want to do a moonlight job?

An update for anyone contemplating the LSD and doing the clutch at the same time. I called Tasca Parts yesterday and got the following quotes for parts:

Clutch disc, pressure plate, and throwout bearing $86
Flywheel $261
Axle seals $5 each

The guy from Tasca said the flywheel bolts are reusable. I didn't ask how much fluid costs.

But here's the thing, the clutch is on recall, and there is no ETA on availability. Hope no one needs a clutch in the near future.

Is the clutch assy missing a zero on the end - 86 bucks?

Ever find a shop to install? Circuit Motorsports in Orlando is a good shop. A good friend of mine knows the owners really well.
