So I normally unbolt the mount for the mishimoto occ so I can remove and empty it...low and behold, during reinstallation, I couldn't torque one of the bolts to the required 60 ft lbs.

Cross threaded the shit out of it. In my infinite wisdom (not really...) I tried to chase the thread because the first threads were gone. That didn't work and the rest of the threads are probably gone now...

Long story short, do any of you guys have experience or recommendations for thread repair kits? It's an M12x1.75 thread and I believe our block is aluminum.

Currently driving with only 1 of the two torqued (the two that are adjacent) and I'm uneasy cuz I'm pretty sure it's a ticking time bomb. Hopefully no irreparable damage occurs in the mean time...

It's not too hard to repair with a Keensert. Fastenal has complete kits but be sure that you get one with a bottom tap. Mark the drill bit with a piece of tape to make sure that you don't drill to deep.

Hrm. Next issue is if there's enough meat left to put the insert in.

Does anyone have pictures of the upper passenger engine mount holes?

I found the Turbo Tech Racing upper thread, but no pictures :( . I also noticed the torque is 35 ft lbs and not 60 for the engine block mounts... Is this right?
