For Those Interested in Doing Their Own Retrofit, an Idea

My idea is to populate a group planning on doing their own retrofits to mitigate some costs and inconveniences. If I were to purchase a second set of lights to run while I'm performing my retrofit, would there be interest in someone else purchasing my second lights at the same price that I bought them at? Then that person can sell to the next person and so on.

There really isn't a need to have a second set. I tore into mine like an animal and didn't break anything. They literally bake right open. You can do this mod in a weekend if it's your first time, or even a day if you know what you're doing. Once we get the full DIY written most people should be able to get it done in a long day, or spread over two days.

For someone who works 6-7 days a week at night and needs enough time to do this right and how I want it done, it's going to take me a week.

I'd suggest only buying one side tbh. You can take your time on that one over the course of the week, and get a handle on how to do it. Once you do one the second is easy and can be done in a day or less.

I bought a second set of lights for my retrofit. This will be my third retrofit ever doing but I'm trying to take a modest approach this time. I'm just about done planning the route I wanna take. Retrofit should begin soon as soon as the funds are there (Just bought an Accessport, seemed more important)

So you have a second set?

Oh nice! So not OE Ford? Would you be willing to sell them at the price you purchased them for if I sell them for the same price to the next person?

No, they're not OEM. I had been looking for a pair of OEM lights, but it's virtually impossible to find a set without broken tabs. After all the trouble I went through to find these, I won't be selling them. There is a set on ebay right now. I'll PM you the link.

Broken tabs not that big an issue, something I figured out when using a heat gun and ABS to build the cooler ducting.

I had started a major project fitting 3" DS1 projectors and just have not gotten back to work on it so needed a headlight for a temp solution, bought one on Ebay for cheap with the mount broken by the top of the radiator. I just sealed it aluminum ducting tape, not duct tape, but saw a way to make it better using some ABS sheet so I heated up a piece with a $20 heat gun (have a pro level one in storage) and it was so easy to do, riveted it on but decent screws would work, some Goop to seal it and it came out working just fine.

Cost was pennies to fix the broken mount, buy broken ones and go to work on them, not a big deal:)

Not that I've come across, but I'll try and make one if I don't get too caught up in the project and forget to take pics.

I got about halfway through doing mine then kinda stopped taking pictures because i wanted to finish.

I can easily walk you through it but not every step will have photos.
Any help would be appreciated!
