ST200 Rear Brakes

Saw this review of the ST200 and they're talking about the upgraded rear brakes
VERY interested in a larger rotor option since the SVT's are discontinued and super hard to find in North America.
Curious what the part numbers are and if they'll be a direct swap for our calipers.

I thought the reviewer indicated the larger rear rotors were going to be on all the ST's not just the 200.

I don't believe the ST200 actually has bigger rotors. If I recall, there was a poorly worded press release (that unfortunately some of the media latched onto) that was talking about how the ST200 (like the regular ST) will have upgraded rear brakes/rotors compared to a regular (non-ST) Fiesta.

Just perused all the web info I could find. Unless all the sites are just spouting standard differences between Fiesta and ST, the 200 has different dampers, faster steering and larger rear rotors than 2016 ST. Since its not coming here (Cobb already has its market share) we may have to wait to find out what is really changed and what is not. I am eternally optimistic that during my lifetime larger rear rotors will become available.

It also has some minor difference in the airbox that nobody has fully documented yet. In one of the writeups they mentioned that it has an extra intake vent, probably towards the bottom just like the mountune intake. It may infact just actually be using that exact part. But we really don't know the specifics at this time. If they've altered the lower box in some cool way, there's really no reason that we couldn't easily swap that part.

I forget which video I saw it in, but I think I saw behind the grille, and/or they verbally described, that it was a snorkel-type addon to the normal airbox. Similar to the Velossa Tech Big Mouth?

Sorry, but I'm just not buying it. I think it's carefully worded marketing hype that the reviewers are not looking closely at and anything more than that is placebo effect. Here is the press release from Ford: http://performance.ford.com/enthusi...sta-st200-adds-more-spice-to-a-hot-hatch.html

Note that they talk about the things that are unique to the ST200 (e.g., color, wheels, interior, power specs, and final drive) and then say "Like the Fiesta ST, the ST200 delivers optimised cornering and agility using..." and then list a bunch of ways the ST is better than a regular fiesta. Compare the bullets listed there to the text below from a 2012 Car&Driver article around the debut of the FiST.

"The turbo four is hooked exclusively to a six-speed manual transmission, the brakes are upgraded to discs all around (the fronts are 10.9 inches versus the base car's 10.2-inch platters) and use performance pads, and the suspension has been revised. Specifics for the latter are scarce, but include new knuckles that quicken the steering ratio to 13.6:1 from the regular Fiesta?s 14.3:1. Ford also says the ST gets a 75-percent stiffer torsion-beam rear and that the body sits 0.6 inch lower to the ground."

I believe Joker is correct, I have quit buying. Back to Sico and Boston Driver's coming review of their rear brake kit.
