How to remove rear fender liners?

Anyone remove these bad boys before? I want to remove them before the winter really starts, give them a good cleaning and some scotchgard.

But I don't want to break these little clips either. Thoughts ?

I figured. There's also a push pin style clip on the opposite end. So they metal retainer pictured can be re used but the plastic piece it goes over usually breaks ?

Why would you remove them? Almost nothing gets behind them. Seems like a lot of work for little gain

Because I live in a climate that's extremely hostile to anything and I want to put some corrosion protection in there that's I've used for years.

I live in the same sort of climate as you and no car I've owned has ever rusted inside the fender arches. Especially when there is a liner in place to prevent grime and such getting up in there
