Better late than never! I have decided to finally make a build thread so I can chronicle and log my progress of ownership and log my modifications as time goes on.

My name is Matt, born and raised in Texas but now residing on the West coast in Portland, OR. I purchased my 2016 FiST in February of 2016, this was my first new car purchase. I loved it from the moment I drove it and it felt like many older Japanese hatchback I've owned and also reminded me of my Miatas I owned as well. I love the combination of fun, power, handling, decent size and cargo space for practicality and non-attention grabbing looks of the Magnetic Metallic. This particular car is an ST2(?) It has no navigation, no sunroof, base seats but has the metal door sills.

My overall goal with this car is to provide the right combination of power, handling, simplicity and practicality without compromising comfort or reliability. We'll see how this goes as time goes on.

Here's a chronological time-line, I'm pretty sure I've got mostly everything here.

February 2016 - Purchased FiST

March 2016 - CFMPerformance valve cover breather, Cobb drop-in air filter (no pics)

June 2016 - FSWerks catback exhaust, Livernois Motorsports MyCal Tuner/Tune

Dyno after mods. Clocked at 202hp consistently, briefly hit 219hp but heat soak from stock intercooler was an issue.

July 2016 - MTC front mount intercooler

Another dyno session after FMIC install, 225hp and 285tq. The intercooler proved to provide more consistency and power.

August 2016 - Mishimoto 2016 intake

Denso ITV22 spark plugs

Changed to the silver factory ST wheels

Then found a great deal on 16" Sparco Terra wheels

Switched to a Cobb Accessport with Stratified E85 tune, Amazon windshield mount for AP

"Pulse" third brake light pulsator

October 2016 - H&R Sport lowering springs

Ford Carbon ST shift knob

November 2016 - Purchased a used ATP GT2554R kit locally from another FiST owner

Purchased a Depo Racing catless downpipe that will be going with it

December 2016 - Installed ATP lower charge pipe and Turbosmart Vee Port BOV, placed at the symposer hose (no pics)

ATP turbo adapter and exhaust manifold porting to better assist with exhaust flow and hopefully help with turbo spool. Also the parts are going to be ceramic coated. Before and after pictures of the porting below.

COMING SOON - GT2554R turbo install, Enkei RPF1 wheels in Spring from Oakos Automotive group buy

Interested in your sound clip of catless dp with the fswerks exhaust
Here's a clip with a Cobb downpipe. It will probably be a bit louder and raspier than this though.

How do you like the MTC? Did it cost any more than expected? Transaction go smoothly?

I paid $325 shipped and received it in 4 days from the UK. Seller was a good guy, chatted with him when I had some questions.

For what I'm doing with my car, daily driving with occasional spirited driving it has been more than fine. Like mentioned above, provided good consistency in power when doing back to back dyno pulls.

I STILL love those wheels, and they look even better yet in the close up pics! [thumb]

I think they are going to have to be my winter setup wheel with a 195/50-16 winter/snow tire on them, either next winter, or somewhere down the line. [wink]

That's exactly the size I have. They are perfect for my Fall/Winter setup with All Seasons. Spring/Summer will be the RPF1's with an Extreme Summer tire.

Sweet! What's the measurements of the ATP adapter opening and the manifold opening? Can't wait to see if this results in better spool

They are ported to match between the adapter and manifold. Sourskittle would be able to attest to the before/after measurements. The biggest improvement was at the output of the adapter, took off nearly 1/4 inch of material. He tapered it from the inlet to outlet.
