New car - smelly exhaust?

I picked up a left over 2016 FiST a couple weeks ago. I have noticed that after spirited driving (I would no where qualify it as beating on it) I get a smell from the exhaust. It's almost like a pop gun smell, gun powder-esque. The car currently has just over 700 miles and I picked it up with about 100 on it. Should I chalk it up to new car baking various manufacturing oils and coatings off or, in you opinion, look into it as a problem? Any one else experience this? Thanks.

All the new Fords do this - it's been explained to me as a coating on the exhaust to prevent it from rusting while on dealer lots.

Mine smelled funky too in the beginning. Completely normal.

I agree. It should go away soon. For me it was kind of gradual but my sense of smell is not all that great.

All of a sudden the smell was gone...
