Nice! I'll be on the market for some wheels soon.
I want to see them on the ST before I buy a set
This is one of the only wheels I would have considered over the 1.2s (due to decent looks, and great weight), but yes, I would want the option of black, or bronze as well, right from their factory, without having to risk powder coating, or even painting.

I would also like to see them on FiSTs with various ride heights, and with some 215/40-17s on them instead of the 'usual' 205/40s/45s. ;)
I am taking donations if we want to crowd fund me and I will let you choose color and tire.

Curious as to what size tires people would run on this wheel? I had been planning on a 16x7 wheel for autocross, but I definitely like the look and weight of these.

^^^I know many do it (and even Rick suggests it), but to me at least, a 205/40-17, or a 205/45-17 is WAY WAY TOO STRETCHED on an 8" wheel (EVEN a stated "wide" section/tread width 205!), so I am going with a WIDE 215/40-17 on my 17x8s.

IF someone made a 225/40-17 I could live with (100-240 tread wear MAX/ULTRA performance summer), or which was not a 00-50 tread wear road race slick, they would be going on my 1.2s. [wink]

Agreed, I was looking at 215/40 but there just isn't that many choices in that size.

I'm also hesitant on a 215/45 since it's almost 5% taller than the OEM setup. I'm not sure of I'd want to increase the gearing on the car, not to mention minor ribbing issues which I'd like to avoid.

^^^IF you count the many versions of the Federal 595s, there ARE a decent amount of choices (and price points) in a 215/40-17. [:)]

Yes, IF you ever plan on lowering the car, the 215/45s are NOT a good idea, and they may even rub at factory ride height at certain times. [:(]

I know, but I am NOT as enamored of the Yoko S.Drives, as are many others on here (unless you know of something else, 100-240 tread wear in that size??).

Besides, they are actually .5" shorter in overall diameter than the factory setup, and only .1" wider (in actual tread width) than the MUCH stickier 215/40s I would use. [:(]

I'm on board for these...they look pretty sweet, just not a super huge fan of the grey color.

To make things more difficult, I'm in Canada so availability is even more limited. I'm going to be looking around for local Konig distributors and start sending out some inquiries.

I also messaged Konig on Facebook and got this reply: "Yes they will fit without any issues, we had 17" in stock and have just made the 18" which will be in stock at the end of the month. We have a lot of ST guys running the Rennform too!"

On a somewhat related note, one of my buddies mentioned that Konig and Enkei had some sort of partnership in the past few years. I also looked into Konig's Flow Formed process vs. Enkei's MAT process and they do sound pretty similar. Anyone else have more knowledge about this?
I just got quotes from both NextMod and Subie Depot in Cornwall.

Subie depot wants 2k all in for rims and Toyo Proxes R888's. I intend to use these as a track rime/ tire :)
