Annoying Dash Rattle

When I first got the ST 3 months ago, no rattles, seemed tight as a drum.
Well, out of the blue, I now have a rattle that appears to be coming from behind the entertainment center or just to the left of it (hard to tell).
Can take it in under warranty but would rather fix it myself if possible.
For those of you familiar with the wiring etc under the dash, is there a connector or something similar that could be the culprit, and that I can get at easily without removing any panels etc?
I know it's a long shot for someone to analyze a rattle over the interwebs, but hey, never hurts to ask.
There are no loose items of mine in the car that could be causing this.
Thanks!
Tom

If it was me....id bring it in....if you break something you pay for it....if they break something they will pay for it in theory. Just food for thought. That and you document the complaint in case it persists and it becomes lemon law.

I've got a rattle from that direction sometimes, it might be one of the windshield wipers, I think I tested it one day and it went away when I turned them on. It was gently tapping on the window from a slightly weird wind direction or something.

I got a rattle right around the same area and my car only has 2500 miles. I knew I'd get them from a cheap car but 2500 miles is absolutely ludicrous.

Just turned 60K km (40K miles) on my 2015 and I've mentioned before; no creaks, squeaks, rattles or clunks; until.....
Suddenly, one day I had a rattle start, sounded like it was in between the speedo and tach. It was driving me nuts, I was considering trading it on a 2017 (which I'm thinking about anyhow; I want the 1.6 engine).
The next day I realized it was actually my ice scraper rattling against the side of the door pocket. Mystery solved, thank god!
Point is, rattles aren't necessarily coming from where you think they are.

2017 has the same engine as the 2015. The big things you'd be getting out of it is a newer car, different color options, and Sync 3.

As for rattle complaints, the Fiesta is Ford cheapest car. It's gonna happen especially with the stiffer springs and low profile tires on the ST. Even more so if you put in an upgraded rear motor mount, stiffer springs, or what have you. Certain roads may make rattles more apparent than others. I came from Ford's cheapest car of 2003 (Escort ZX2) and the interior is much better in the Fiesta than it was in my ZX2. I highly doubt Ford will do anything for you unless something is apparently loose. I bought some felt tape to try and fix one of my rattles in my seat belt holder plastic on the B-pillar, but it's not real apparent day-to-day for me and I only really notice it on certain road surfaces I don't drive on much, so I still haven't gotten around to it. That's the only rattle that bothers me because it's next to my ear. If I have any others I don't even notice them...

Well aware of that; that's my whole point in that statement. I would rather have the newest version of the 1.6 bullet-proof Formula Ford based engine than the new 2018 3 cylinder unknown quality version.

Thanks for all the responses guys, appreciated.
Well, after posting this I took a spin yesterday afternoon and guess what, no rattle.
Then this morning, rattle back. It has nothing to do with time of day or temp, it rattles at will.
I just know that if I take it to the dealer, and they test drive, the freaking rattle will will hide.
One way or the other, I WILL get rid of it. Can put up with a lot but car rattles are not one of them.

I also noticed that sometimes that when you have a bottle (normal 20oz) in the cup holder, those little tabs that squeeze the drink to hold it still will rattle a lot too, I also at random time get the rattle you speak of as well... only 5100 miles, I just blame cheap plastics, as Sil3nt611 says it is the cheapest car they make

The hvac surround panel on mine rattles all the time. If I push on it, it goes away. I also get rattles in the drivers side A pillar that drives me nuts. If I hit the A pillar it will go away sometimes. One of these days I'll dig into into.

For me, the soft accordian plastic on top of the steering wheel pulls out and causes noise. I just push it back in all the way to make it stop.
