we all just need to enjoy the ride, with each revision your car gets better, and you can actually tell. that is what makes stratified different, they focus a lot on the drivability of the car. I'm on my 3rd revision on my x37 from alex and my car is a beast, every revision he has sent me is solid. Alex keep doing your thing.

I really do hate when people cry about things online and demand public apology or recognition. Social media has turned people into whiny babies that think if they cry loud enough and public enough people will eventually bend to their desires. I get it, you want results, but man it is annoying that this is what people are resulting to.
You're obviously referring to me without stating my name.

I'll take the bait regardless.

1st.) I don't even use social media. Yes, I called Stratified and didn't get an answer I was hoping for so I then thought 'am I alone in this or is this a bigger case' to which I thought 'bigger case' and thus, posted for more people to see / show their opinion on.

2nd.) My 'demands' aren't out of the realm of day to day activity for this company as they have shown in the past - if one person phones in and says 'I'm not getting my tune fast enough!' and it's been 2 days that's a different story. I am on day 6 and a friend is on day... 28?

3rd.) At no point should you interpret my posts as whiny - I've paid for a service which was at a certain level before and now it's dropped. I want to know why and when I can expect it to go back to the previous level, if it will.

Thanks for coming!

Revisions take time, especially if your taking a week to send in logs.

You belittle his build and then say he sounds like a dick...alright then. By the way, love the wide body look.

At least I'm a dick who can spell. But really, I prefer asshole - it suits me a bit better (not that you know me).

And yes, BIG props to Alex who corresponded with a customer in a public setting while both parties outlined their points of view regarding a (slight) drop in customer service from previous experiences. I bet he went through AT LEAST two keyboards before he found the peace of mind to write a reply which didn't alienate his customer base.

The daily demands of running a 'on-demand' seasonal business such as tuning must be WAY different than the daily demands of running a on-demand seasonal business such as directional drilling. I mean, in one business your customers are looking to get results immediately and require feedback from specialists in a timely manner in order to maximize efficiency, the other, well it's just drilling.

Sitting on one week without a revision.
Same :). June 8th is when I received the base map.. It also looks like they've been pretty busy since the custom tunes are "sold out." Their waiting list is piling up. I'm thankful i'm not on the waiting list lol..

In the link it does say they have a 4 week deadline
"A standard tune has a 4 week time frame but accommodations can be made to suit your and your tuner's schedules."

Just gotta wait it out :)

4 Weeks to have the tune started I thought?

4 Weeks between revisions is stupid. The fuckin' summer will be over by the time I get my 94 tune done!

Hopefully Stratified has learned to plan for busy seasons and can adjust their business plan accordingly - as of right now, I'm not sure I would recommend them to ANYONE. Turn over time is ridiculous.

The custom tuning process is not cookie cutter; each individual tune is carefully built and we are very much dependent on our customers schedules as well. For example, your last tune was sent to you on May 24th, and logs were received June 9th. That is two weeks and 2 days and your updated tune will be delivered within around 6 business days (target is for today). We accommodate this for our customers and I hope that you can understand how these very individualized processes and tunes are a labor of passion and love rather than an attempt to rush something out the door as quickly as possible.

Thanks for the reply Alex - I know you state that the custom tunes are very individualized and I understand that. Don't take my annoyance as an insult on the final product - it seems to speak for itself.

My gripe comes with turn over time. The number of X-47 turbos you have tuned should be climbing and with that the turn over time should decrease... at least in my line of thought, the more you have tuned the more familiar with the platform you become and thus know what variables to monitor closer than others to ensure long term performance. It seems that the turn over time is excessive considering the competition can complete revisions much quicker. Yes, I understand that you pride yourself on the individualization of the tunes - perhaps there needs to be some compromise.

Until my tuning is complete (at which point I'll have no more updates) I'll continue to post my tune revision turn over time in order to help others accurately predict how long their tuning may take.

EDIT - I also enjoy how you state your turn over time in a numerical value (which is a single digit value of '6') where as you state it took me, the customer, 'two weeks and two days'. Doesn't look quite as good as '11' which is how many business days it took me to turn around logs.

Thanks for your feedback, I think by this point customers have a good idea of what to expect from Stratified. If you have further concerns please contact us directly.

Nah, I get better responses by 'airing my laundry' on a public forum. Imagine that...

the dude is busy, give him a break. GOOD things take TIME!
How long are your summers? I'll be putting winter tires on again at the end of August. I would like to actually be able to drive on the final 94 octane tune and not be revising it all summer. But that's just me.

And ya, I know he's busy - certainly keeping PR in check on the forum! ha!

I'm going to be very straight forward here. I respect our customers and expect the same respect back. This back and forth shows a lack of consideration and respect for my efforts. You've made your point that you are dissatisfied with the service you have received. Things like "you wouldn't recommend Stratified to anyone" make me wonder why I would spend the effort and time to build revisions for a tune you are clearly not going to be happy with. Being an online business does require that we address these issues which does take away from our resources to do our job. I am going to put this process on hold until we discuss further over the phone. Please give us a call (I have left you a message already) at your earliest convenience. Thanks.
