So I installed the kit a month ago and have loved it at max reduction.

Just went and did an autocross event and under hard braking it kept poping out of 2nd anyone else have this issue, im going to mess around and see if I can get it to happen by my work and then try different reductions.

Few old posts on this. I have been running max reduction of over 18 months hard driving and never had an issue. The post mention that theirs was easy to pop off during the install. I can tell you mine was very difficult. Maybe its a specific year of the car. What is yours?

Yeah mine were very hard to pop off, it is a 2015 year, and it is like the second link you posted of going from second to neutral.

Going to mess around in a bit and try to get it to happen again.

I should update my previous thread...

Due to a lot of aggressive driving, I destroyed a couple gears in my transmission last month and just got a new one. The pop out is gone.

I sold my old transmission to a guy who wanted the remains, he took it apart. He later told me that due to all the hard shifting and not letting the gears go in before being fully synchronized by the synchros, the second gear synchros and gear actually got pushed back a bit. So the entire time the gear teeth are not in fully contact. Every time I brake, the engine tilts forward and gear teeth will slip off hence popping out. Also the reason why my transmission failed, gear teeth not in full contact + added torque from stage 1 tune = missing gear teeth.

Now I'll still drive hard, but let the shifter go in naturally instead of forcing it. It'll save you a lot of money... (Thanks to China's heavy taxes AND ban on import of auto parts by individuals, my new transmission burned a $5000 USD hole in my wallet)

hmm well that's what I wanna hear lol, I was not able to get it to pop out but when it did it on the course i was also taking a hard left, will have to find a better parking lot to try that, I may just double check the adjustment now after driving with it, maybe something shifted a fuzz.

Thanks for the response!

Had this happen too with the ultimate package from Boomba. I originally thought that due to the very short shift and the very heavy knob would cause the shifter to go from 2nd to neutral under heavy turning/braking/G-forces. I removed the transmission plate and left the shifter arm for a while and didn't experience it again. However I missed the short throw and I've since switched back to the factory knob and reinstalled the shifter plate and I've also got a new transmission. I haven't been to an autocross yet but I'll report back when I do.
